I would consider the price to be in the normal You can rinse them out and reuse them several times, but I would recommend only doing so Start spraying the bottom first and work your way up, don't rub them. In order to do this, use a sprayer and spray the back first. I've been doing it for years and this is the best way I have found to get them clean enough to reuse. There were 2 marineland Emperor filters that I bought these cartridges for. It's not difficult to notice the fact that the filters are covered in carbon dust and loose carbon on the outside. When I rinse out other filters, there is always carbon powder in the cartridges, but it is not caked and the floss has dust all over it. The construction of the product is good, however, the assembly is poor. The product comes in a box with a plastic bag. Once you are done with the cartridges, you will notice that there is a fair amount of left over carbon and black carbon dust all over the plastic bag. Instead of using the old filters, I upgraded to new ones with customized media components that were much better. This is the end of my journey with.
