Yes, the container's bottom is marked with an expiration date. The product has a three-year shelf life.
There is an inner seal as well as an outer lid on the container. I'm guessing there's a distance expiration date, as all foods must have one. However, my fish (we have 11 koi) consume the food at such a rapid rate that the issue of expiration dates is irrelevant. It is critical that the food be kept cool and dry.

In a small pond, I have a few hundred goldfish. They've been surviving and producing offspring for the past five years without my assistance. In the mornings and evenings, they prefer Goldfish Flake. They've become so conditioned that when I open the patio door, they simply appear with their mouths open, mouths full of tiny bubbles.
