There are 2 AA batteries needed for this.
Depending on how long it is opened, the feeding door can adjust to several lengths. I think the maximum that it can open In this mechanism, the hole is rotated so that when the hole faces down, the food falls, which could pose a challenge In addition, it is possible for the other fish food to fall in larger amounts if the feed door is open so far. very large community tank, this may work well, but if not, you may see a spike in ammonia levels due to the food leftovers. This should be helpful, so I hope!
The opening on top of the tank was lifted and tied to the side lip of the top, while towels were placed over the rest of the opening so that fish could not We found it to be very useful.

I like the way the unit looks and how well the manual button works. An easy mounting system makes it easy to attach. However, the fish were not fed at the times the feedings were set, and the unit did not come on at those times. I forced the manual feed button to turn it on, but it did not come on at all. When I checked the days, I found that my feed times had been saved. Since I didn't test the unit when it arrived (I trusted the other reviews), I only had one day to do so before we went on vacation, and I had to return it at that time as well. The instructions are confusing in some regions, for example, under " NOTE ". The following number is not available A time is stored, but no feeding takes place. Those are the times at which the drugs are being dispensed. This is what I saw on my unit, and there are no further guidelines or troubleshooting instructions. Initially, I thought eating would take place during saved dispensing periods. However, the directive reads differently when I read it.
It is important to understand that I maintain a 10 gallon aquarium with small fish (cherry barbs) that I wish there were a smaller portion size option available for flakes because of the size of my fish and tank. I have been away for a couple of weeks. However, they seem to be OK. In spite of it being quite large, bulky, and bulky, I was glad to be able to lay it flat on my aquarium's lid. Depending on how flat your lid is, it may come with an adhesive. When connected to the glass with the clamp, it does not look like it corresponds to the opening on my lid. When it comes to programming, once you figure out the difference between setting the time and telling it to feed at that time, it's simple. MAKE SURE there is a number (1-100. 4), place it in the box for the time that you've set (see photo 1 for an example of how it should look for a one People who read some reviews about the feeders had dead fish and not been able to use them. It is my hope that this.
My experience with it has been good so far. It is the same company that makes my lights and other products. All of them are good to me. Using the timer works well, and you can set feeding times that work. Purchasing two more feeders is on my list. My 100g tank does not have any problems with it.
It works pretty well, not sure what's holding so many people back from using it. This setting determines how many times the drum will turn at each set time. If you do not set it, it will assume that you want it to turn zero times (I. Feeding your fish is not a good idea. My goldfish were well fed while I was away, although there was some spilling on the top of the container. A few tweaks need to be made to get it right, but it's not a big deal. The front of the laptop has a weird cosmetic problem. While the face with the buttons is attached to the plastic cover, a piece of grass or straw got caught and wedged between them. The repair would take too much time and effort. The product cannot be returned or exchanged. The fact that it is powered by batteries rather than an electric cord is appealing.
These were bought when we were going away for a week or so. There are 3 aquariums in our home, and we bought one for each one. It is easy to set them up and program them. While getting the portion size right takes quite a bit of trial and error, it wasn't difficult. The portions mount securely to the aquarium with no issues. When I attempted to mount them to the cover and feed them through a hole in the cover, it didn't work too well. So then I used double sided tape to mount them, but this did not work too well. There was some food that did not go through the feeding hole in the cover, and I wasn't sure the tape would hold. Rather than mount it onto the aquarium, I clamped it to it. Therefore, the lid had been partially held open by the feeder, so towels were added to close up the openings so that the fish would not jump It was an easy, problem-free process of setting up the feeders a few days in advance of my trip so I could monitor them. On the morning after we returned home, I checked on the tank to make sure that the feeders were still functioning. set the feeder on the goldfish tank so that it fed them at 8pm A 30 am start time. In the early hours of the morning When it dropped its food at 825, the goldfish circled under the feeder, and it dropped their food. That's to say, I'd say that they worked just fine while we were away.
I set it up very easily. It has an extremely quiet operation. It would be useful to be able to feed fish of all sizes in one aquarium - I have fish from small to large, so I would like to be able to do that, but I am not able to. This was known to me when I purchased, so no surprise, however it might be of interest to others who may not have noticed. The opening is either for tiny food or for The container can't be filled with both, and the delivery cannot be made. On one aquarium, you would need two units. We have two types of pellets, one for tiny ones and the other for large ones.
Since this is my first automatic fish feeder, i am not able to compare it with anything else. The portion is quite small, so when I adjusted the window size just enough to dispense 3-gallons of water, it took a while for me to figure out how to make it work. The pellets are 4 in number. The only disadvantage I can see to it is that I believe it works better for feeding a school of fish or a long school, where feeding a smaller fish sometimes requires more caution. Apart from that, the instructions were pretty clear and nothing was damaged. There is a lot of room inside the food chamber, so you can store a lot of food. My feedback is that I like this product and if I needed another feeder, I would probably buy it from this seller again.
We have a 30 gallon tank with two angelfish. We tested the dispenser before we got there and found that the fish were alive and happy when we returned and clearly had gotten used to it. As the battery indicated half full when we got back, I used fresh Duracell batteries about two weeks before and it had been off for most of that time. I recommend only using fresh batteries and following the feed schedule for two weeks rather than holding it for continuous feedings. don't use it again, this was cheaper and more convenient than paying a neighbor to keep an eye on the kids.
