I find this one to be pretty durable. This clip is way better than any suction cup clip. Over the past 20 years of keeping fish, this is the best clip I've used.
Hey, I apologize it has taken me so long to respond. I believe it's black on the inside. There is a white face on the outside of the glass, which contrasts with the black exterior. The number of Bs I have now reached three. This is largely due to their effectiveness.
It has been almost a year since I purchased mine and it is still in excellent condition. I always take it out after use. That would make it last longer, I presume. Here are some pointers I hope are helpful
In my acrylic 75 gallon fish tank, I use this accessory every day and I have not noticed any damage or scratches since the magnet seems to be protected by a soft material.

A magnet that has hardly been used for a year separated from the housing after only a few times of use. There is no reason why I would leave a clip in a A rusty ring formed as well. Super glue was applied to the entire cavity and the sticker was adhered back over the magnet, however it still came off. UPDATED - *Transferred to trash* A new clip has arrived from the manufacturer, which is far better made than the old one. A picture has been attached as well.
Although I thought this would be a 5-star review, there are a few aspects I believe could be improved at this price point (which is twice as much as the suction cup version). There's a big plus first, it has a very strong magnet and a very strong clip. Corrosion does not seem to be an issue. A great build quality is evident in the overall product. My only complaint is that it would really be nice to have some sort of grip on the outside magnet to make removing it My 55 gallon tank holds a lot of ugliness and it's very hard to get rid of. As I said, this is a big magnet set and I have trouble getting between the two of them. Furthermore, I wish that the inside magnet could slide as a cleaner does, but the outside magnet is coated in a silicone-like material and so is very flexible and does not move easily- this might be considered a plus by many, but is very difficult for me to position the food properly. Likewise, I would like the ability to lock the clip to prevent it from swiveling when floating food is in the air. my issues are mostly due to the fact I want to drag snail food all the way to the bottom of the tank for them, but again, most people wouldn't have these issues. The overall experience was enjoyable and I will probably purchase again and I can fix all my little issues with some DIY.
This product is not suited for me since I am a small, older lady and the magnets are too strong for its purpose. This product is only for holding lettuce for fish and eggs. The magnet and snails are so strong, I'm sure even I could hold on to them. There is no way it can be justified and it is In order to disengage the outside magnet, I had to use a hammer. I made a mess of everything reading the thing, and it took me a long time to clean up I was outside the tank, and I was wearing them. My decision to not use it again has been made. You can have all the magnets that you want, as long as they are way too strong for their purpose. In spite of that, if you are not young or in top physical condition you should think about As for this product, it will go in the trash. The money was a waste.
In a nutshell There is something very charming about this My foxface feels the same way. Her excitement nearly sends her out of the tank as she tears into the seaweed it contains. In spite of repeated attacks from her, it is able to defend itself well. She simply has to rotate to taunt her and the seaweed hangs on with a great deal of determination. This product has been in my possession for a few months now, and I can attest to Foxface is a veritable eating machine. My only complaint is that it eats everything in sight. Before "installing" it, I feel like there were some steps I missed The thing that is permanent is this. It might not be supposed to be on my tank, but it is glued on there like it was meant to be. Since my rabbitfish is a predatory eater, I wouldn't have anticipated a permanent placement, but I did hope for it. According to these other reviews, apparently it can be moved with the contents of your junk drawer or tool box, but I will leave mine just the way it is, with its enticing foxface drawing in the attention of all who see it. In this case, make sure you're 100% pleased with the placement of the product before you buy it. This wonderful little accessory requires a degree of decisiveness to ensure a successful relationship.
Unlike the food clips I bought previously, I decided to experiment with other types of clips to see what works best.
I'm using these clips in two 100 gallon tanks to feed seaweed mostly to Having these clips on the outside of the tank is very convenient. I can place the seaweed anywhere on the exterior of the tank with the magnet attached to the clip. It's quite handy when working with my timid tangs, since I can place the seaweed very low on the ranks without getting my entire arm wet. The clips are so small that I don't even have to stick my hand in water to place or retrieve them. The magnet is held outside by a long pair of tweezers so it can snap together depending on how it is put inside the tank. Sliding it into place is the next step. I seem to be finding all my fish now much more seaweed than before, and they wait for it to appear every day! As well as for my other three tanks, I plan on purchasing more of these! Thanks for taking the time to read this review!.
As far as I know, I've had no issues with it in the tank since I purchased it about two months ago. It is strong enough so that the fish won't be able to tug at the sheets. By allowing the clip to freely rotate, the nori sheet is able to flow more naturally through the water. In addition, the clip floats, which is fantastic! Since I now only use my fingertips to clip in new sheets, only my fingertips get wet. While I was reluctant to spend so much money on something that I expected to be cheaper, I am not disappointed that I invested the money. It appears that the fish are also happier with the regular feedings.
There is a slight separation of the plastic surrounding the magnet on the outside of the case, but I don't find that a problem. happens over time is that the clip that holds the vegetables weakens, and it is no longer strong enough to hold them. The full folded up veggie becomes a float after a few tugs from the fish. No matter how much you clean the leftover veggie slim off the little teeth that hold the veggies, it doesn't work! Generally, I find that they last about six months before I need to buy another.
Over the last few years, I have used the cheap suction cup clips in my aquarium, but they only last about 6 months before they Then you have to stick half your arm into the aquarium to get the tank at the proper level for my fish to use. The one I have now has been with me for almost two months, and I am in love with it. Using the magnet has been a great experience. The thing is so powerful that I don't even have to hold it up against the glass to move it. My favorite thing about it is that it floats when it is In comparison to the suction cup versions, I hope it will last a lot longer.
