SUPER STRONG. We have lizards, and we've been using the $8 plastic tweezers from Petco. We found this stainless steel set for roughly the same price as the cheapo plastic ones after breaking two plastic tweezers. They do exactly what they should and are extremely long. Grab a cricket and place it in front of the lizard, and you're ready to go. Don't waste any more money on those cheap plastic garbage tweezers. If you buy this set, you'll get two extras that you'll never need.
At $9 USD for three (as of June 2021), these are a good deal. Because they aren't surgical grade, treat them gently. If you wanted to bend them, they appear to be fairly simple to do so. I wouldn't give them to a child, but an adult who is responsible with their belongings should have no trouble with them. br>br>In my trays, I use them to pick out problematic seeds.
My 11- year- As a birthday present, I let my 12-year-old grandson shop on my Amazon account. He'd just gotten a corn snake, so he chose this to help him feed it. He's overjoyed because it fulfilled all of his expectations. It assured me that it was flawless, strong, and stable.
These were required for my tarantulas' nutrition. I received three in the package, which are extremely useful and affordable. I was previously using tweezers, which were inconvenient. Because of the risk of being bitten or having urtricating hairs, you must place the prey item into the cage but not your hand.
I needed a tool that could reach into my numerous aquariums and turn over snails. It's a lot of fun for my platies to knock them over and off the table. I'm also feeding four African Dwarf frogs with them. I can hold their food without fear of injuring them; previously, I used a wooden skewer and was constantly concerned that they would impale themselves; these are excellent for feedings. Strong, stout, long, and comfortable to hold.
The tongs appear to be functioning as they should. I've only had them for a day, so I haven't had much opportunity to put them to the test. I've been feeding my smaller lizards with a pair, and they've held up well. The only thing that worries me is that they have razor-sharp edges, as if they weren't sanded because they were made so quickly. Once I've had a chance to use them more, I'll post an update.
I first looked for tongs in local pet stores, but they were all more expensive than these, and most were made of cheap plastic. These are extremely well-made and durable. I am very happy with my purchase. I'd give it my highest recommendation!.
The product itself is fine, but the bag in which the tongs were packaged appears to have been chewed on. The amazon bag was fine, but the main bag, as well as each of the tongs' bags, had been "chewed" through.
