These small floating food corrals are highly recommended if either of these issues apply to your aquatic friend(s). br>br>The round corral (without the basket) is ideal for preventing floating food from being swept away by the current. It's suctioned to the side of my 10-year-old son's wheelchair. It holds my colorful little idiot's food in one place, allowing him to find it, snack on it, forget about it, and then rediscover it 10 minutes later. He isn't the sharpest tack in the drawer, but at least I know he's eating his meals this way. br>br>This is an excellent item, and the smaller ring is ideal for smaller tanks.
I haven't used the bloodworm filter yet, but the ring alone is worth it, and I wish I had purchased it sooner! My betta would lose a piece of food as the filter slowly blew it around the tank. I'd feed him one pellet at a time in a low-pressure environment. It would be a fussy situation with flo corner dropping right in front of him, counting how many he ate. This was set up in the same corner as the previous one - In a day, he became accustomed to it - I can now drop all of the pellets into the machine at the same time. It's so much easier because no one gets lost! It's also the appropriate size. The size isn't excessive. Who cares if it's a little cheesy and shabby, given the price and purpose?.
The suction cups can be difficult to remove at times, but I've never seen one fall off. br>The square feeder ring has been wracked/bent and will not sit flat in the water. As a result, food is able to escape, which defeats the purpose. The arms on both the square and circle feeders are difficult to swivel, making it difficult for the rings to adjust to charging water levels. br>The mesh feeder cone allows only a small amount of food to pass through the holes. In the end, you get what you pay for. br>br> You can save money if you are willing to be creative and work around the flaws. Spend the extra money on better products if you don't want to deal with the hassle. br>br>If the quality control was a little better, this product would be a 5 star!.
It was used to deal with an aggressive fish who wouldn't let my other fish eat. It performs admirably.
I only use the circle, but it gets the job done! It keeps all of the food together in one place.
To keep the food from scattering, I still need to turn off my aerator.
I couldn't get it to work for me. The food did not stay put as it should have.
As expected, it functions properly.
