Questions & Answers
The only drawback is that is not a good system to buy if you wish to drop three(3) pellets at a time.
It's been 3 weeks since I've been using my feeder twice a day and the battery monitor shows 2 bars, so I would say the batteries are good for at least a month at most,
Automatic dispensing appears to be relatively consistent, so just make sure you're not over feeding, which is easy to do with an automatic If you are watching an automatic feeding event, ensure all the food dispensed has been consumed in about two The feeder may need to be adjusted if there is excess. There is no such thing as too much food.
The way I use it works well, or if you are creative, you can smooth the edge yourself.

Feeders like this are always in demand. You can control the portion size in a very diverse way. A second one was purchased for my big tank after the original was used for my fry When I crush my flakes, they are all roughly the same size, and I slide the portion selection to a fairly small size. To make sure that the fish got a consistent amount, I didn't want to add a big amount of food at one time. Although the instructions are a little confusing at first, setting it up is very easy once you figure out how. Set it up over a bowl so I would know how much my fish would be getting and ran it over my bowl to adjust the number of times I would turn and the amount I would feed each time. I think this is an excellent auto deed.
I have one or two 18-year-old fish that I have with me. I have a fish or two at home. This is a great game! Two weeks ago, I was away and the computer performed well. Despite letting it run for another two weeks, it's still moving. The following are keys to having a successful vacation It is essential that they be a consistent size. If the fish food comes in a brand new container with giant flakes, pinch them to a smaller size. A flake of 3/4 inch will block the action and result in a small amount. There has to be enough space between the top/end of the tank and the barrel/dumping area for the food to go into the tank, if it is not big enough the food will slowly roll out and hit the cover rather than go into the aquarium. In order to get all the food into the tank, I glued a small ramp to the back of the light hood.
There are several feeding stones in the feeder and this feeder is intrusive enough that I did not have to read the instructions. There is something wrong with the color, but the color is not the reason to pick this up. You can adjust it well and refill it easily. It is something I would buy again and will do so.
A portion control system is not in place. It is the flaw in this product that it leaves it up to the machine to decide how much falls from it, and it is definitely not a system that gives the same result each time. It is the calculated portions that drop instead of rolling out that create this problem. The system is flawed, whether it is in the form of pellets or flakes. As a result, the amount of food is not enough or too much, so I have to experiment to find the right decrease. My first attempt resulted in too much food sliding through and I dropped the unit to the floor of Then I attached it to a plastic bucket in order to measure how much it drops, and as I previously mentioned, the system is down.
The system is fairly easy to use, clamps to the side of a tank, and it spins up and down to dispensing Although programming is a little odd, I failed to read instructions before using the device as well, so I cannot place the blame on the product. It can feed 4 times a day, but mine is set to twice a day, in the early morning and in the early As for the opening which drops food, you can adjust it all the way to where you can produce excess amounts (seemingly depending on what you put Personallly, I prefer feeding the circular, chip-like flakes instead of pellet food as the smaller round pellets tend to fall through too much. Before attaching it to the tank, it would be best to fine-tune it on a table or something as a means of testing. You may also want to check whether your hood is compatible with this product. Since my tank used black coroplast that I cut to size instead of an expensive hood, this wasn't a problem for me. I is really a lifesaver for me, since I don't have to feed my fish in the morning and in the evening as a normal fish owner would, which leaves me with more time to spend with my family. As of right now, I haven't run out of batteries (there's an indicator for this too) but I imagine you'd have to reprogram after you change batteries. You should not have any trouble with the feeder going dead if you're using it only during vacation for a week or two. It works, it works great, but you should make sure you're not overfeeding. I am a fan of this food as well as my goldfish.
It is a little confusing to understand the instructions, but the setup is self-explanatory. You can program an alarm clock just like that. This unit hangs smoothly on the rim of a fish tank due to its good size. There is sufficient food storage space in the container to last for several weeks (depending on the type of food consumed). You can adjust the lid of the dispensing system. As a result of stick pellets' size, it can be difficult to disperse them consistently. I think flakes or round pellets would be a better option. During testing, the only noise made by the machine wasn't coming from the pellets, I would assume that it would not make a sound if used with flakes. A bowl of water was placed in front of the dispensing device several times to observe how it works before installation. In terms of its overall performance, I am satisfied. There would be an advantage to using different colors. There should be more programming for the times when this food is dispensing, since I only see four time slots at the moment.
There is no resistance, it is easy to mount, and it can be programmed easily. It's a good thing that the face of the device is sealed off, so water cannot enter It got water in the buttons and corroded out when I had a different brand and model a year or so ago. There is no water in this unit, so it seems to be a better design.
I have been satisfied with their performance and have been happy with them, but this feeder is superior. Food (flakes or crisps) is released in a controlled manner and the port that distributes the product is placed at the top of the unit. Moisture is no longer an issue! A feeder cup that I don't have to grapple with can also be removed easily.
