Since the seller that I used to buy nano driftwood from no longer offers them I have been looking elsewhere. These days, prices are a bit higher, probably due to the pandemic. The wood I ordered is beautiful and I'm very pleased with it. A total of 4 pieces are present. As expected, each one was the right size. The tree does not have any The two of them can easily be combined into one. It has a capacity of 5 gallons. You can choose between a 5 gallon or a 10 gallon container. There are no restrictions on numbers of pieces, and they can be scattered or arranged in a 20-foot long row (2 orders might be better if more wood is needed). To show how big the mound will be if I clump them all together really quickly, I am piling them on top of each other right now. I will try and add pictures later on. At this point, also a 5 is perfect since my goal was for it to be Each gallon holds 5 gallons. It is something I would consider purchasing I liked the way it was wrapped. There were no broken pieces. It is obvious that I will soak the boil first to get rid of any contaminants. A $12 bill was received from me.
The water I had boiled for so long grew some type of slime or mold while in the tank, I am not sure why. As well as losing many fish in both tanks, I have low PH and ick as a cause of it. I even bought a pH raiser, two other medications, and nothing worked. I finally took my fish out of the tanks and they seem to be fine now. Additionally, if you do decide to put one in your tank, please make sure it is 20 gallons or larger. The best way to add more later is to monitor your fish while you add them gradually.
This is a good deal given what you get. The wood is of very high quality. When boiling for 2 hours, rinse thoroughly with cold water, then boil again for 1 hour and rinse in cold water before placing in the aquarium if you do not wish the tannins to remain. In my experience, that is what worked. I don't know if this is overkill, but it might be.
This is a really good result for me.
This item is worth the price, but be sure to sand it if you have a Betta. You can tell it is sharp by its.
It was very nice to receive these pieces. During my 3 day soak (changing the water everyday), the pieces sank immediately in the 5 gallon bucket I put them in. There is very little tanning or color You can definitely count on me to.
