These little bits of driftwood are amazing. The one I got had seven pieces, and they were the exact sizes I needed. About 4 hours later, I changed the water every hour. I boiled/simmered them for about 4 hours. The next morning, the water was almost clear after I let them soak overnight. My tank doesn't show any discolorations after putting them in!.
A friend of mine bought this for her 5 Bettas. The tank holds 5 gallons of water. I only used three of the five pieces in his tank because it was quite generous in size. Hermit crab habitat, on the other hand, was used with the rest. I did not have any problems with the wood floating in the Betta tank because there was very little tannins released while boiling. I got them for a good price and they work well for the display There are several of them that stack together nicely, which suits the various heights of display I need. They are smooth to the touch, they have a nice color (though I got something much darker than what they show in the picture), and they are colored nicely. I would definitely buy One of my only complaints is that they could have been slightly larger. It is a fairly small collection of pieces. It seems the fish like the leftover ones I didn't use too! I put the leftovers in my fish tank.
