My research led me to believe that it was coming from Squidward's Water seemed to show that whatever was used to clear coat it was rubbing off. There was also a very strong plastic smell that lingered around for a long time. I put them in the tank after I cleared at least most of the smell out of them, and Squidward's house stopped getting glitter water everywhere. The following happened for about 2 weeks Taking it out, I scrubbed lightly and the paint just fell off with very little effort, so now I have a piece of plain grey plastic that I have in the shape of the Krusty Krab. What I was hoping for wasn't what I got. In the event that I had known this before I bought, I would not have spent the money. As long as it didn't kill my fish, because I did see them eating the paint flakes before I took it out, I'm happy.

I do believe the material of the items in my fish tank killed my fish, despite the cuteness of the items. Several pieces were lost before I was able to assemble it. Taking them out and doing a water change helped restore normality to the tank.

My frogs play or chill in these ponds often that are obviously meant for smaller fish, like the ones I have. I've attached images so you can see what they look like For a reference point on how small they are, here is a picture of my 20 gallon tank.

If I had read more reviews with one star, I would have found them fascinating! My fish are dying because of the pineapple. People in a group told me not to buy this since the paint chips and the fish eat it, and they Well, I guess. The reason why 2 of my fish died as well as why the others refused to eat have been figured out. In addition to explaining my orange water, this also explains why it got Two small blue flakes came off when I pulled it out as soon as I saw that comment. I have no words for how upset I am. It finally dawned on me what was going wrong after all my worry and wondering. The product is a scam! Do not buy it! There may be some others that can be saved from fish murder if I can save them.

I scrubbed it all off then the walls in the entrance started breaking and I started discovering the paint inside was peeling. All the other 2 decorations are okay, however there were two broken leaves or whatever they were on the pineapple crown. They are not that noticeable but they will I will not be keeping Squidward's house in my aquarium. Instead it's going in the garbage.

I truly believe this is a beautiful set of aquariums. I chipped off a sharp point on the inside so that I could protect my fish's fins in case he entered. But my fish usually spends most of his time in the pineapple house. I would definitely recommend buying this, but make sure to inspect everything before you set it up.
