Despite their size, they're really not very big
In my experience no, I also have Corys not quite that big once or twice who have gone under a castle, but I always make sure they are not harmed. The Panda Mollies I have are too big to fit in. I purchased one side of another castle, it has two sides, but I chose to just buy one side, since I knew they could go under it Despite the price difference, it is a very beautiful item.
It is possible to have up to 50 gallons at a time.
This is a goldfish bowl that is half gallon in size. If I need a larger container, I'd look somewhere else for the 20 gallon

My first choice after reading the reviews on quite a few similar products was this castle. I got it for my 20 gallon tank since I was afraid it might be too big, but it fits perfectly. The workmanship is outstanding, and it looks awesome. There's something red in my blood The tail shark gave up the log he was attached to and immediately claimed the inside of the castle as his own. Although the inside of the castle had a ridge next to an opening, it must have been easily file down, but the item seems very safe, with no hidden areas that fish could get trapped in, as well as fairly good holes at bottom- It is large. It's fitting that my algae eater just wants to stick around, he's about the same size as the shark, six inches and over one inch across. It is fun to see the smaller fish, like my Tetras, Guppies and Platties, swimming through and around The castle I bought has added much to my tank, and it is a very pretty piece. The following are the updated results eight months later, It turned out to be unsafe for all, but I was mistaken. It turns out Alfie, the algae eater which I mentioned in my original review, got stuck inside the top tower. As it is unusual for him to go missing all day, I decided to check the castle to see if he was somewhere. Although he was tugged on, I could not get him out. He was face down in the tower, head first. He was freed by three people, but they were all unsuccessful. He was either going to die or we would destroy the castle in order to get him out. The importance of Alfie outweighed everything else. As can be seen in photo 4, he is inside the castle, in the red circle, after 3/4 of the structure has been destroyed. He finally was able to swim out after we loosened the ties just enough. A photo of him as a recovering victim is shown in number five. He appears to have a swollen middle, so I hope he lives. The decoration is definitely awesome, but if you are going to use any decorations, be aware of any danger some fish might encounter. This castle is really nice, but I'll have to give it up since it will not work with I think fish shouldn't be allowed to enter the towers in that area as it can be potentially fatal for them.
The tank end up being a good size for my tank and it looks fantastic. I'm glad that I took a chance on this. It only got four stars instead of five because there were a few sharp edges around the openings that needed to be sanded down. Seeing as there is a bit of ambiguity regarding the castle's size (I was unsure based on the questions and answers) I decided to take a picture of it next to a soda can to show scale so others could have an idea of what its size is.
For the past four days, I kept this in my tank. When 2-days have passed that there was an oil slick film on the surface of the water, but didn't know It did not appear to be healthy, as the fish was lethargic, but I assumed it was because he was
I decided to change the water on the fourth day and noticed that there were loads of black flakes on the sand and especially in As I was moving the castle, I felt slimy and gross. I realized that the paint would likely come off under my fingernails and that the snail had chipped it all off earlier! There have been other reviews stating that their fish died, their water smelled, but that they were all fine! Basically, my fish would have died if I hadn't noticed, and Amazon will only refund me, but I am so angry that they authorize this seller to claim that this item is safe for aquarium use! The seller of this item should not be allowed to sell it, so I am.
Rather than using it to hide, they use it to hide.
Be sure to buy the correct size! This is the large version! I am thrilled with the quality of the castle. It arrived in perfect condition, is a good deal heavier than I anticipated, and is It's just that nice. I picked it up to show you what it looks like in my aquarium for the first time, so taking some quick pictures was the best way to showcase it. To be honest, it would also look good on a desk or mantle because it is that exceptional. The top of the tank is well below the water line, so I was concerned it wouldn't work in my 15 gal tank, but the top is well below. When I add my plants and Goldfish, it will be amazing! I am so glad that I came across this, as I wanted something without the usual weird plastic plants attached, or trees on the castle, etc. Whether you believe me or not, you will be impressed when this arrives. The price is not quite this reasonable for a piece this large, let alone one that is so beautiful. I'll probably never find anything quite like it in a local national chain store. Even if they had this, the price would be far greater than Amazon's. My 15 gallon tank was large enough to accommodate the castle, which was perfect as it is the centerpiece of my tank. I am unsure why some folks were disappointed with the size of the castle. I believe that they probably bought the wrong size. There would have been too little room in the small version. Also displayed in the larger version is the great amount of detail in the castle. On the smaller version, that aspect would probably be lost. All it really comes down to is what you personally prefer for your tank and what "look" you want to achieve with it.
This is great! I am very happy with it! In my 10 gallon aquarium I have a betta and a snail, and it is perfectly happy There is a small tip that reaches the water line, and it is not too large. I am able to fit my betta through the doorways with no problems. Be prepared to do lots of dremelling on the inside, and I also blocked off the interior of the narrowest towers with plastic mesh (attached with super glue) when I didn't want somebody falling in the tower. The reviewer mentioned in another review that the fish got snarled, and I can understand I'm finally going to be able to sleep! Generally, I have great feelings about this item, my fish love it, and it's even better than I imagine it would be.
If you have any sharp surfaces, you will need to sand and block other areas. I have a 20 gallon hexagon aquarium that features this piece as the centerpiece. Initially, I had the smaller one, which looks very good, but takes up too much space in the tank for fish to swim. It is perfect for small fish such as redtail sharks since the hide out is only for them. Sand down many sharp areas on your aquarium, especially those near entrances and exits where your fish will often go in and out. Fortunately, I did not catch any fish, as I did not dremel any surfaces inside or hot glue 5 deep holes to stop smaller fish from getting trapped (I saw some horror reviews online). It is a really nice piece with lots of detail and the dark theme combines well with the black background and gravel to highlight the amazing colors of the fish.
