Questions & Answers

There is a lot of water in my 92 gal aquarium since it is a full size tank. Would it be possible to attach this just with the suction cups on ?

There are suction cups on top and at the bottom, and it was really fun for the turtle, but it was a bit messy. The little carpet stuff kind of flaked off on the edges.

Do you think it would fit in a 20 gallon bucket?

The aquarium I have holds 55 gallons of water- As for the ramp, I just have it attached to a basking platform so that it The tank would probably fit a 20 gallon one however, there is no guarantee There is also the issue of width to take into account. Here are some examples The ramp of my turtle tank touches the ground because it is about 9 inches wide. In a 12" wide tank, my turtle is too wide to get around the ramps under the ramp since it cannot fit under them. Turtles that are small may be able to get around a narrow ramp to swim. I wouldn't recommend one, but you may be able to find

Do you think this will hold the weight of my 7 year old Mississippi Matt?

There is an eastern painted turtle 8 years old and an african side neck turtle 9 years old in my care. The two pieces are held together on one, without any problems.

What tips can you give me to get my turtle to crawl up there? It used to be that the African side neck turtle would bask on it, but now that the water level has risen he no longer does so. ?

Single ramps you find at beaches sometimes have a lot of flexibility, making turtles unsure about their This was a dilemma I faced when I worked in a full-time position A painted turtle is grown by performing major changes to it. My first step was to buy two identical ramps, remove each rubber mat, and install the steel. This fabric has a green grassy back that is dangerous to eat. By connecting both ramps together with the plastic screw bolts supplied, I carefully avoided damaging the material. On top of the ramp, I attached plastic velcro tabs of outdoor weather proof on the sides and then on top of that I attached caps I attached aquariums to a key area by using edges at key points It is safe for reptiles to sleep on green fabrics. Single-class exams were given to me The tape is double-sided with velcro on one side I used a strap like those used to strap outdoor plants, so I tightly wrapped four long pieces around the ramp, putting two straps along the top edge, one strap around the bottom edge, and one strap near the top bend. After that, I took a long sponge filter and slid it into the gap created when I connected the 2 ramps. Supported by this sponge, the top ramp can bounce less due to its resistance. The turtle I have is in a 75 gallon tank. A half tank of water is half It sits about 8 feet wide and 8 feet high so I drilled two holes in the floating ramp structure (which I rigged up so it wouldn't float) I would suggest that you place the tank 9" below the top rim. To mount the ramp on the platform, I used these two holes. We placed a heavier rock at the front of the ramp to support it at its bottom and seated the ramp on top of a large, flat rock about two inches tall. There are no other ramps that have a ramp from the bottom to the top of her tank that are as tall as this, but this is the only available option. There is no doubt this set is recommended by my turtle- She is thrilled with the set-up as it suits her needs perfectly. Her platform gives her a sturdy ramp as well as plenty of swimming space in her tank as well as a small cave where she can sleep under it. In relation to the different sets- The only other suggestion I have for you is to get a relatively thin rock or plastic piece that matches the size of the ramp, and strap it to the rock or plastic piece to make it more stable. You can also place the ramp against the side of the tank to keep it solid. My suggestions hopefully will be of help to you.

It's a hazard. There has never been a review for anything I left 1 star. However, I believe it's very important that pet owners know exactly what they are buying when it comes to their pet's safety. As of today, it's on sale on the Penn Plax turtle platform, which is a hazard. The pictures are below (See below) There are tons of freebies The water filter is clogged with green floating fibers, black strings unraveling in the It is next to impossible to find a ramp to a basking platform that is gripped when it comes to finding something that can serve as a ramp. It was because of this that I ultimately purchased it in the first place, despite reviews warning about turtles eating the astroturf or the green fibers breaking loose and clogging the filter. Rather than wait for my turtle to do the same, I siliconed the edges, hoping to prevent it from doing so. Nonetheless, i noticed a large clump of green floating around in the tank the other day, which horrified me to discover that he had eaten and passed along that much Therefore, I wrote to the company and explained what had happened and asked if it was possible to simply order the plexiglass ramp without the astroturf. I did not receive any response whatsoever.

This ramp is in fact what I used to build my basking platform. Once again, I tried to find another ramp of the same size, but nothing else was available for purchase. In the end, I spent 50 dollars for something that ends up being 17" of plexiglass that I cover with something else. I had to spend another 25 dollars to order another ramp I'm going to tear apart. The best thing you could do would be to put this in your tank as an alternative to waterproof grip tape, kitchen shelf liners, or embroidery mats made of plastic canvas . The most important thing if you end up buying this is that you do yourself (and your turtle) a favor! You should do the tank (and yourself) a big favor and remove the turf and replace it with something else before you put it in. You don't want to risk your turtle getting a blockage that could be fatal if it's unable to cross it. While it may feel like a waste of money, you might as well do so. The grip tape was stuck to plexiglass, and I tried it out in a bowl of water 5 days ago to see how it would hold up. The tap was textured like a cat's tongue, but it is clear. As far as I can tell, it remains sealed, and no water has seenped underneath it, so I think I'll try that. Honestly, I think that at this point, it would have been more cost-effective for me to buy one of those nice custom tanks that already have the ramp and platform attached. And stress is much lessened.

A functional and affordable solution
4/5

We needed it so I wasn't able to return it since it came damaged. However, as soon as it was repaired it worked like a charm. In spite of that, our turtle absolutely adores this item! When we tried putting him on a floating one, he struggled to get on and then was too heavy. This is where he spends half of his waking hours basking in the sun. There is a 20 gallon "tall" tank for it. The bottom of the pool was propped up on a rock in order to make the water.

This is a favorite of my axolotls! As for turtles, I cannot comment on whether this works for them, but my axolotls love it! As they love to swim up and down the ramp, they come up to the top when they are hungry, and beg for their nightcrawlers
5/5

I have uploaded a picture of Princess Bubble Gum and Marceline for your Despite its solid construction, you will be able to place it anywhere you like, and it will remain in place with the suction cups. In the event the terra-cotta comes off, it would be easy to replace it with a custom artificial grass or silicone rocks. I find that this is one of the most frequently used decorations by my axolotls and it is well worth the expense.

I love this toy for my turtle! There has been a noticeable growth in my turtle's size
5/5

I love this toy for my turtle! I am worried about my turtle since it has grown so big & fat The platform I will build myself needs to be my own. I cannot think of a way for her to get out of the waters by swimming up. It functions as a ramp for her to get onto her platform after getting out of the water. The sun bathing has become a lot more frequent for her. There's no problem with it fraying. I clean my aquarium once a week. If you do the same, simply clip OR pull out the frays until the end is reached. In this way, threads will not fray any longer and threads will not show. As time passes, it will no longer fray. It is impossible for anything to be perfect.

This slider is great for my red ears! A few weeks ago I purchased a Tetra ornamental rock pump / filter, but my turtle is a little too big to bask in Now that I have set up this ramp next to the rock, he is able to get on it!

The grass is bad, but everything else is good
3/5

IF YOU PURCHASE THIS FOR turtles AND intend to use the grass topper, DO NOT PLACE IT IN THE GARDEN. There was grass plastic on my turtle's topper and they were eating it! After I removed the top, I replaced it with bathmat material, so my turtles had plastic grass in their poop for months. Due to their eating it and excreting it, the grass clogged up my filter and caused it to fail. This platform, with turtles as the default, is now available for purchases Safe bathmat topper which may be used to hold up to three of my big babies (they love stacking themselves, even though there are many other basking spots around the house). Some of the turtles sit on it and it sinks below its water level occasionally but at any given time there are three turtles sitting there.

Please accept my sincere thanks

In our area we have multiple Red-eared sliders that one is starting to get big, but we couldn't find a suitable basking platform for it. Other plastic suction platforms would fall over due to big rocks taking up too much room and big turtles knocking other plastic platforms over. There was no better ramp to ride on, and they were in love with it. It was just a matter of minutes before the big turtle was on top and the little one on the bottom. The item has been well received by them. It is such a pleasure to speak with you!.

The Axolotls love turtles more than turtles! Axolotls are very happy with this platform
5/5

In an aquarium that has a lot of floor space, there is more walk-through space for the creatures that need it. Probably frogs and other animals living on land could use this as part of a terrarium Since I bought them more than 3 years ago, they have not shed and haven't worn out. The axolotls enjoy them, and they do their job very well. As a matter of fact, I may start to use them for As a result, they collect poop and old food like crazy, but are easy to wash away.
