Questions & Answers

The flat tip of one of the straight scissor blades is curled inward. Is this a normal characteristic or a defect? This is the second pair I've bought with this flawed feature. ?

The answer is yes. I'm not sure what your order was, but I got a set with one pair of scissors and two pair of tweezers, all with a long handle. Cutting from above is made easy with the scissors because they are curved at the end- The other pair of tweezers are curved as well. In contrast, if you were not supposed to hold them horizontally, you would need to snip with scissors or pluck with tweezers - You might want to just grasp the root when your hand is deep in the water and use a standard scissor-cutting grip if possible. When cutting paper, you do the same thing. You should understand what I'm saying now that I've explained it! LOL The curve makes it possible to snip from above while still keeping the blades level at the bottom of the scissor. These tools have worked perfectly for years, showing no signs of rust or other damage.

Is there any way to tell me how wide the finger holes on the scissors are? What is the quality of the tool holder? I thank you on behalf of my fish! ?

There are a lot of gigantic razor holes on this set *7/8", which fit most hands quite nicely. My view is that the tool holder does its job, but is pretty useless. I am impressed with the quality of the tools and the value they provide.

Do you think the holder will fit on a tank that has a rim?

There is a wide selection of rims to choose from for this tank

These appear to be stainless steel, but are they really? What are the effects of rust on your vehicle?

It's been about a year since I got them. It has a fresh water tank and isn't rusted.

The tools used for gardening were bought for an aquarium
5/5

The pros are This is what the "tweezers" do It consists of stainless steel brushed with a fine cloth Aquaculture and gardening require a light duty tractor, but the tractor is perfectly adequate. A perfect fit of the gripping ends A misalignment does not occur. Voici the lengths Measure 10 1/2 inches from end to end End of sentence. This is how the scissors are made Measures 10 inches in length and 10 inches in width End of sentence. The cutting is very The cons are There is a rather sharp edge on 2 of the 4 corners of the shafts of the tweezers. The edges of the curve do not need to be razor sharp, and nothing that cannot be corrected with very fine sand paper or a fine grip emery board This is a one-off Five minutes to fix it. The bottom line is that I'm likely to.

Helped me with my planted tank a lot! This set has so far been a great experience
5/5

The set I selected had the highest ratio of good ratings after performing a lot of research.

After reading reviews, I have been extra cautious to wipe them down after each use, for fear of rust. However, they seem to be working fine so far. I have had them a few weeks and can see no sign of something like that happening, so I continue to wipe them Those straight tweezers get the most use and the other tweezers, with their angles, end up being a little longer (they are the same length, but the curve limits how deep I can reach the roots of plants. Also, it could be that I am not well versed in the other one's use, or that it is suitable for delicate plants). I think I'll have to get used to the curve of the straight scissors as well. They grant you a little more reach. The width of the leaf or what you are trimming will determine how much you need to trim. Using a flat small hoe on the substrate in my shrimp tank produced positive results. For my setup, I probably could have done just fine with the straight tweezers, the straight scissors, and the hoe, however I did not see a specific set with those The set is what I want, so I'll get it right away. A brief update Six months later, it is still going strong, and no rust to speak of. I enjoyed this set very much. This is a great product. The wipes are always cleaned after use, but I must have forgotten to do so once or twice, but no rust has been noticed. There is no rust at all on these. I don't think they would even rust if left soaking overnight. I'm unsure what the other raters are talking about, could it be a different product?.

This is good
3/5

I have updated There is rust on the bottom crease of the screw where it goes in, I always dry it but there is rust slowly but surely growing, I am contacting support to see if they honor their warranty this should It has been a couple of months since I've used these and I'm happy with them so far. My tweezers do not rust. I dry them after each use. The one with the tweezers is OK, it's not great but it does the job. With everything you will need in one box, it's a great starter set. I like the scissors because they are sharp, and I like the flat one because it's great for flattening substrate so it's level.

It seems like a good plan! When they close, they have a nice "gritty" edge to them
5/5

A simple cut to my aquarium plants made it quite simple The scissor works as intended and doesn't have any issues. If you would like them completely dry after cleaning, make sure you sanitize them completely. As far as failure points are concerned, only the single screw connecting both pieces can fail. The only way to dry that area is to take them apart, but all scissors fail at that point. Stainless steel should prevent rust, which should be what they are meant to be.

This is a good deal for the price There is some sharpening to be done on the scissors, but they work fine in a planted freshwater setup
5/5

The scissors are not razor sharp but are still nice. Tweezers are very aligned and have a very good grip area groove. wrap the grip area of the angled tweezers in shrink wrap before planting and have found it makes them gentle on It was my intention to use the straight tweezers Several people here complain about rust on their toolkits, but mine are still spotless after two months of constant use. When I use salt water, I would rinse my gloves off, but if I were washing them, I would wipe them off. Although, I have not cleaned them even a couple of times and still they do not rust. The tweezers I received look different than those pictured in the listing but otherwise they are Overall, it is a good purchase, especially for the price. Be prepared to not have a surgeon's tool set at your disposal.

You must have the right When you have a planted tank, these tools are a must have
5/5

The rust is an issue, according to others. Whenever I use my hammers, I dry them immediately after use, and there are no signs of This pair of scissors is extremely Make sure your fish are in good health. Although the narrow end of the substrate tool bent a bit when I tried pushing the substrate over about 2 inches, I was not in any danger of breaking it. Unlike the first time, I won't bend it again, because I don't want to risk weakening the weld by doing it repeatedly. A pair of angled tweezers is something I use every day. It is hard to imagine life without them. The tool set I purchased is a decent one that I have no regrets about.

If the scissors hurt your fingers, you should stop using them
3/5

Despite the fact that the tweezers in the set are great and work perfectly well, the scissors do not have rounded edges and cause finger stings after just a few minutes. In recent years, I've stopped using them in favor of a pair of cheep scissors from 99 cent stores. There would be a huge improvement if the edges of the scissors were rounded off or that they were coated with some sort of rubber.

Your money is not worth it
3/5

As a result of its usage, the metal bent on both ends. It won't take much longer for it to break off after a few more uses. I disliked it enough to not pay the money This is not a product I will buy.
