Selected User Reviews For Liveek Aquarium Aquascape Tools Kit, 4 in 1 Anti-Rust Aquatic Plant Aquascaping Tool Stainless Steel Black Tweezers Scissors Spatula for Aquarium Tank Clean Fish Tank Aquascape Tools Sets (Black)
This aquascaping set, in my opinion, isn't even worth the low price. It's adequate for caring for and cleaning a tank in general, but it's not suitable for live plants. Is it possible that I just got a lemon batch?
PROS:
- Purchased two (2) 3 months later, there are no signs of rust or corrosion, and the black finish is not chipping or peeling off. After each use, I thoroughly clean the tools.
- The best piece in the set is the substrate rake/pusher; it works well and accomplishes its goal.
- A high-quality microfiber drawstring bag and small silicone bands are included in the set. To protect the tool's form and tips, use caps.
CONS:
- Curved scissors aren't much good. When the blades are closed and open, there is a gap between them. Manipulation of small plants is impossible. There are no grip or anchor notch, and the finger holes are large. For a woman, my hands are quite large, and even my monster-sized hands are quite large. Hubs struggled to keep them in his hands due to their size.
- Straight and curved forceps are both flimsy, particularly the tips, which do not fit flush. The inner sides are etched for gripping, but it's not enough to do the job. To grasp an object, you must squeeze the tweezers very close to the tips, which defeats the purpose of long tools. br>br>* If you're serious about getting into the lovely and addictive hobby of planted aquariums, This set is not recommended, and I would rather spend the extra money on better steel. the building.
I was hesitant to buy this because it was so inexpensive, and I was afraid it would rust, but it hasn't rusted yet. br>br>No rust!br>br>I've literally left these in a bucket of water and sanitizer after cleaning my tank several times. No rust!br>I have hard well water that rusts almost everything, so we have to use only certain cleaning agents in my house to keep things rust-free (toilet bowl, shower, sink, you name it!). ) And, thus far, these hardy tools have managed to survive without the use of any special precautions. br>br>My only complaint is that they could be a little longer because they still get my hands wet when I use them in the tank. It may seem petty to bring this up, but it is the truth!.
Wow, I was willing to take a chance on these because they were so reasonably priced. Following this strategy on Amazon with chinese knickknacks, I've had some real doozies. This sort of thing. For instance, the electric fly swatter, which seemed to energize rather than kill the fly. That is not the case with this one. The quality appears to be good, it comes with a nice pouch, and it appears to be well made. I would recommend it.
Since the day I bought it, the main spatula has been pivoting like this. After a long time, it finally came out. It's a low-cost knockoff of more expensive aquascaping items. You'd think that for a ten-year-old, For 15 dollars, they could make something simple and decent, but it's just more chinese nonsense.
With the exception of the flat "sand scaper" piece, I liked this product. The triangle-shaped section at the end is only lightly pressed in, and it continues to fall out even when lightly touched.
Even for a 10g aquarium, they're too short unless you want to get your hands wet. Very disappointed with the cheap metal.
These are fantastic tools. I can't believe how much easier it is to care for my terrariums now that I'm no longer clumsily knocking things over while trimming with chopsticks and kitchen scissors. These tasks now take a fraction of the time and are much more precise; I especially like the two types of tweezers. Also fantastic are the scored grips on the ends. I've had no trouble picking up small, slick river stones!.
I have a heavily planted tank and have to go through and trim things down on a regular basis, so this set is perfect for me. It's simple to use, and it's helped me save time on plant maintenance.
