I feel like I'm shocking my dog without need
3/5

Therefore, I own the petsafe wireless system and have been using it without issue for years. Due to a new dog we inherited, I had to purchase this collar. Our assembly of the unit was a little difficult, but we found that we could find the information we needed by Googling the parts that were unclear. We set this collar on a setting of 5 for our Dutch shepherd, as she is new to the open space. She would run straight through any setting below 4 if she weren't used to it. wasn't the problem, it was just some trial and error and a minor inconvenience. Her real issue with the collar is that she has been shocked quite a few times before she reaches the boundary, where another dog can go out further with his Now that it's so bad and inconsistent, she's getting shocked from the close proximity of the box while laying in our living room. Because she has had so many false shocks she does not trust her boundaries, so we are unable to keep her collar on her indoors. When she is outside, she is scared to leave the porch because she gets shocks on a regular basis. As she has been wearing the other collar for years, I cannot use it on her because the other collar was already cut to fit our other dog. I'll have to call the warranty number and hope they will replace it since we missed our return date by two days. This is such a shame since our other collar has never given us trouble.

It is a great containment system, but I wish there were color and size options for the The collars I'm using are on two of my dogs
5/5

Years ago, we had this system and it still works today. Despite how hard we tried, our jack russell used to get past us and get out. Our street is a "short cut" and people drive way too fast. The reason we were concerned was we didn't want him to get run over, and when he did escape, we had no chance of catching him. The breed that I am describing is fast, in case you aren't familiar. He got shocked twice when he had this collar on the first time and came inside, but the next day he managed to get by me and run away. He went back inside as soon as his collar beeped. There ought to be a variety of widths and colors available for these collars. The collar looks fine on another dog in our household, who is a pit bull. It isn't a big deal to me sometimes to change colours. Since these collars are a bit wide for the jack russell, I usually just get a regular collar for him and punch holes in it. If there were options, it would be much easier.

I replaced it, but it failed! However, my dog chewed up the collar I had for him because he found it in the house and found it there
3/5

My old one didn't work, so I bought this one as a replacement. Although I turned the battery so it would turn on, the light did not come The batteries I had backed up didn't work, so I replaced them, but it did not To test it, I went outside and clicked on the button to set the level of static. It did blink a few times, so I went to test it there. There is nothing! In the following day, I returned it. I did not want to waste my money on something that wouldn't The only way I was going to leave it on my dog was to know if it worked. In order to buy it, I will do so at a local store or with the manufacturer, rather than.

The money was a waste
3/5

A new collar was purchased to replace the old one. Our current router stopped working less than 6 months ago and we are now in need of buying Rather than recommend this product, I would steer clear of it. The wireless collar we just purchased has been used in our wireless system in the past without any problems. Naturally, now it is too late to return.

Describe the size
3/5

This is the fourth collar I have purchased. These are all for dogs under 20 pounds. A small dog would require a lighter collar. The collar fits, but is too heavy and cumbersome for the There is a need to develop smaller bands and smaller batteries for wireless monitors for four breeds of dog (dachshund, chihuahua, terrier and rat terrier). I was very disappointed with the size, it fits necks up to 6 inches, yet it was too big for a medium sized dog.

I really like the collar
4/5

Earlier in the decade, when my previous dog was young, we bought the containment set. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked. We had to replace the old collar when we got the new dog after she passed away and I got a new pet. A great collar that is easy to adjust, thanks to the new design It is synchronized. There's only one complaint I have, which is that it doesn't seem to be able to work with my neighbor's Although it was put in after mine was the first time, I think that it has become more finicky since having it turned off for more than a year. Yet, there's something about this containment system that I like, besides its.

MAKE SURE YOU DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Buy this product and DO NOT get ripped off! I had the collar for less than a few weeks when this happened
3/5

Two of them were ordered, but the second model stopped working without warning, which caused my dog to run into the road, resulting in injury.

An alternative collar was provided in this case
5/5

Over ten years passed between the first and second. I have noticed how several times my dog's collar has saved his life as he has escaped from cars because of it.
