Thank you. You can certainly run this wire on a barbed wire fence, just do not use this 20 gauge wire for this purpose. Spending more time fixing it than it is worth will not be worth it. There are three gauges of wire we sell--18, 16 and 14-gauge. I do not supervise customers' purchases, but the bigger the wire, the fewer Call 877-5588 Item 609 I'll deal with it later. Please accept my sincere thanks to Cynthia, Bill and Monellepets.
Hey Jlo, *br>Thank you for your question. The answer is that it can be used with any other brand fencing system as the insulation on the wire is designed to withstand the elements on the ground or use outside under the sun. You can reach me at (1- Call 877-5588 Item 609 8377) with any other questions that you may have. *br>Thank you Jlo, *br> Bill,
If you do not have to use one, do not put a collar on your dog. I have seen dogs get to the wire and move even with collars As far as the wire is concerned, the rock has its own section.
I apologize for the long delay in replying to your email, but you can use any Petsafe transmitter for 3000' of wire (13 acres), except the Basic transmitter for 5 acres (2000'). There are some who state 10 acres, but they will go up to 3000 feet without a In any case, if you plan on using the Petsafe wire pictured here, you are going to make a grave Although it is very inexpensive, there are a lot of problems associated with it, like breaks and animals chewing it. This is our second time rerunning our fence around 4 acres because we made the mistake of using this wire the first time. It is much too thin and has broken more than once. In place of the 20 gauge wire, we are replacing it with 16 gauge wire, which should last longer. When you read reviews of the stronger wire, you will find people doing this for the same reason they did. Unfortunately, these issues are not mentioned in the listing for the offending products. We wish we had known what we needed to know and done it the first time. Such a headache!.
Sometimes dogs will be wearing the collars every day and will not be shocked if they walk straight over the wire. In addition, I do not trust the system as much as I should, and it is frustrating when we ensure the loop is on high and they are still able to get Meanwhile, on the other hand, the line is close to our garage and the house, so there collars can receive a signal from wiring in the house and shock the dogs for no apparent reason when just sitting in their So far, I'm not sure what to think of it, but I will continue to use it and test it to see how it works. The purchase was made in December of 2017 and it is now April of 2018. It will be interesting to see how that goes. The system is not working right for me when I live near major roads because my dog's life is at risk and I'm not confident that anything can be changed. There is no real way to tell if it will work.
I have used three of these rolls in two houses, and every single spool came apart, causing tangles because they were designed to be so cheaply made. It's the sort of thing that saves a company some money, but infuriates customers at the same time. Wire has a tendency to tangle if you attempt to untangle more than a few feet. Even if it requires a bit more money, if you're sane and want to stay that way, I recommend looking at other brands. The time and effort that went into this case has really paid off. I did not notice a problem with the wire. I walked over it daily at my old house for several years with no issues. (If you can't tell from my rage, I'm extremely frustrated at the new house after using what I have left of it. ).
In my previous order I received two 500ft spoils. The first was perfect and exactly as described however, the second was in an unbranded tattered packaging with green wire that appears to have been unspooled and rewound just wrapped in.
When I first heard about the program, I was skeptical. In the aftermath of installing the boundary wire, we found it difficult to adjust To begin, you need to take out the battery. In that case, all of the following steps became meaningless. I was able to receive the instructions I needed after contacting customer service. As far as the user manual is concerned, the support agent agreed that there was a problem, and he hoped it would be fixed soon. As for the effectiveness of the boundary wire, it only took my German Shepherd 3 days to respect the fence. A squirrel caught her attempting to jump the fence one time. Her next concern was that she was afraid to go back into the yard after receiving the correction, so she drove the van out of the yard and returned with it. A car doesn't shock her (she doesn't get shocked). She has been leash-free for a few days, and it is a pleasure to be able to be outside (she has about an acre to burn off energy).
The clock is set.
This wire is BRIGHT YELLOW in color. If you don't really want to see this on your lawn or your lawn is yellow, then there is no point in seeing this. In addition, the fee for returning the item is almost as much as the item's cost.
The cost is what it is, so if you're on a shoestring budget, it will probably serve your purpose. Unless you want to use a wire of a heavier gauge, I would recommend upgrading to a heavier gauge. When I first set up my invisible fence, I upgraded to a heavier gauge. I changed the perimeter recently and purchased this wire to complete that task. When comparing this to my original budget, I wish I had gone ahead and spent a few more dollars. There is no way this wire or the insulation will ever be as heavy as the wire I used previously, and I'm sure durability will suffer over the years.
