When she was a kitten, my cat liked to be brushed by me, even though she was 18 years old. Nonetheless, in the last year or year and a half she developed arthritis or some kind of joint pain and is really starting to dislike having her hair brushed. In essence, I did not try to force her, but then she started to get really bad matts, particularly on her stomach, without being brushed regularly. It wasn't easy to cut out the mats with scissors because she wouldn't remain I also don't want to take her to a groomer because she gets stressed when I have to take her somewhere such as to the vet or my parents' house. I was really hoping to resolve the situation with these clippers and they worked great. It is so better to have them than to go to a groomer, there is nothing I can't do. I can work on the mats for 10 minutes and then stop when she is done and go back I managed to pull off about half of the mats from her stomach, as you can see from the photo. I am still working on it, but I will keep working slowly and I am confident that in a couple weeks I will get them all off without stressing her or hurting her in any way. She had a thick winter coat, so even with the old clippers my husband gave me, they barely made it through. These clippers only took me about six minutes to use, and I got this much accomplished! My cat does not scare easily, so I am not able to comment on whether or not the noise is frightening.

This is my second pair of these clippers, but the battery won't charge. It's been more than a year since I contacted them about this issue, each time they apologize and kindly ask for my information, then they don't respond or replace my system. This is a terrible game!.
