Questions & Answers
The hair on a teddy bear clip is a LOT longer than 1/8". Scissoring is used to complete the majority of them. Hair is about 1/2" long when the three blades are used. I recommend attaching combs to the clipper blades if you want it longer.
They are compatible with all detachable blade clippers with an A5 size. Personally, I do not believe they are worth the additional cost- Many people, however, are divided.
Hair that is 1/4" long is cut with this blade. With such short hair, your Maltese would be nearly bald.

These blades are a little more expensive, but they're well worth it; they cut noticeably faster and smoother than the Andis blades I've previously used, and I'll never use anything else.
And it's less expensive than some other brands that don't even come close.
It's been sharpened a couple of times now. My preferred clipper blades are Geib Buttercuts. This 5F has lasted me a long time, and I use it on a daily basis in my grooming shop (6-year warranty). It takes longer to heat up than my other blades, which I use on eight dogs per day. It has a good rust resistance and keeps its sharp edge. I sharpen my other blades roughly twice as frequently as I sharpen these. It slashes through coats without getting clogged or choking. This is something I strongly advise dog groomers to try. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who only grooms their own pets because of the price.
So far, this has been the best blade I've used. It glides like butter and doesn't heat up quickly; I'd buy more if it were less expensive.
If you want to try grooming at home, invest in a good blade. It will save you and your dog a great deal of time and effort. This is a fantastic piece. I'll never return to the days before the internet. Blades have been buttercut once more. The standard poodle twins are adorable and seem to enjoy their hairstyles.
This blade cuts nice and smooth for me as a professional dog groomer.
Normally, I am a big fan of buttercut blades and would recommend them to anyone. But, I'm not sure if I just got a bad blade or what, but this one won't cut through double coats at all. I always have to go over it again with a new blade. blade is awful, awful blade. I'm afraid to buy any more buttercut 5s as a result of it.
The best blades that have ever existed. I was the shop's test subject; I was the first to order buttercut blades, and now they're in high demand. On matted coats or coats with a lot of undercoat, they perform much better than Andis blades.
