Not to mention that I don't see why it shouldn't be allowed. The two dogs I own are English bulldogs. In one of my dogs, the nails are thick black (where you can't see the nerve endings) and in one of my dogs, the nails are clear white. My only problem with this nail clipper was that I have never clipped the nails of a 200 pound dog prior to this. Please let me know how I can be of more assistance.

This product has been great for about two months now with no indication that the blade needs replacing. As a dog groomer, I take care of dogs
We used these trimmers on our 12lb dog and they did an excellent job. If your dog is 50 pounds, I would suggest going up a size.

What's going on? The first thing I will say is these clippers are actually decent clippers, they will do the job out of the box. Since I used my mother's clippers many years ago, I decided to purchase these. Despite this, I find the blades on the pair I received to be far less sharp than what I remember from the old ones. Taking a closer look at the details of the blade, it appears that the holes are drilled or cut in a hurry, leaving a slight high behind. This is due to the fact that the flat side of the blade is not This surface would have been flat if it had been It may be due to the fact that it is not machine-generated that Amazon scores vary so much. I've applied blue (a thin metalworking paint) to the blade and applied it to a knife sharpening stone with a 1000 grit. In the high areas that have been rubbed off, silver can be seen where the blue was, while the low areas are still In the following image, you can see that there is a slight incline in the center of the blade edge where most of the force will be applied. Just like using blunt scissors, this will cause a rough cut as the nail will be pinched between the edges instead of being sliced cleanly from the edge. Once I took the cutters out of the box, I noticed that the low area was more pronounced. One of my dogs' nails looked off, and after trying to cut it, I decided something was off and began leveling out the blade before writing this review and taking these Observing the photos of replacement blades on Resco's website, you'll see that the profile ground at the end of the blade is quite different to the ones I received, which I also find quite curious.
This bunch comes with a little lube oil in the package, so you won't need to worry about rust. It is a solid, high-quality product and I am very pleased with it. The Oster plastic ones I have are bad. I've been searching for a replacement for my last pair and found none. If your dog has tough nails or a medium or larger size, that is. Save your money and don't waste it on plastic. Take a look at this metal handle, it'll offer superior dextiarity and comfort. The edges are extremely sharp so you have to exert very little pressure to avoid crushing the sensitive tissue. A strong and durable guide holds the blade where you want it, so the blade won't jump off the track and twist the nail or splinter it. Added to that, there's the best part! The blades for this model are available here! It's boom time!.
I don't know. I am not sure what is going on at Resco, but I have used Resco guillotine cutters since I bought my first dog (in the 80's) and I have never been disappointed. Despite the fact that my last few pairs don't fit, I still wear them. There is mostly broken nail debris. This issue is receiving tons of complaints from the public What are they doing that they aren't listening to? Why has there been a change? The "super cool" ones sounded fun (colored, and with padded handles), so I ordered them, hoping they would at least be a step above what they made before. Not at all. It's a pity that these blades are so bad. My mom's old scissors are probably at least 15 years old. They sliced right through my dog's nails like butter when I used them at her house, a week ago. There's no crushing, and they're too old to be sharpened for a blade that doesn't get That being said, I am Everything needs to be reverted back to how it was! There are a lot of negative reviews on their website, and I hope they read them, because they're losing customers fast. I went with a new clipper rather than buy blades for my old clipper because I didn't trust the reviews on the refill blades. We are deeply disappointed to learn that their new clippers have the same blades. I have been trying to keep on giving them my business, but once this pair wears out, unless they change their blades, I will switch to a different brand. It is wonderful to have an item that is "Made in the USA" The reason most of us choose to buy USA products is that they are of That standard is not met by these clippers.
As I read some reviews for the Resco nail trimmer, I was eager to order it. It was the same day I received the trimmer that I tried to use it. My experience with it was unsatisfactory. The nail clipper did not clip my dog's nails cleanly as I hoped, so I had to cut the nail by hand. As a result, I stopped, afraid I might hurt her. My new Resco clippers made me take my pet to the vet, so I could have them clip her nails and they could examine them and show me what I was doing incorrectly. As soon as the vet tech began using them, the same problem occurred. In addition, the clippers did not cut my dog's nails cleanly, leaving her in an uncomfortable state. As far as my clippers are concerned, she would prefer not to continue using them. She had clipped my dog's nails many times for me with that same tech, and I knew she would never have a problem doing so. The clippers I used two days ago are not something I would like to use.
There are about 6 inches between these two. In addition, the blade was not as sharp as I had been used to in the past, so I was unable to trim small pieces of wood To shave off smaller sections, I had to turn it around. In spite of my attempts to take out the blade as instructed in the video, I was not able to do so. It was easy for my husband to do because he's a handyman. However, I was unable to do so. Either this is an ineffective product or this product is just bad. These were used years ago and I never had a problem. In addition, I don't remember them being nearly as flimsy and difficult to use as they were before. This is not a product I would buy.
I have tried the inexpensive China plastic combo units but they do not work on my Akita. There are only one or two things I wish were different. Even though I have very small hands, I still find these clippers to be difficult to hold because of their size, but because I haven't come across any other all metal clippers, these are my top choice. There is no crunching sound like the other styles on my five giant Akitas with very thick nails. It works very well on their nails. I always hear my goons jump whenever I hear the crunch noise. *These are quite and work well, as well as being quiet.
