Until this accident, I had a favorite the Andis deshedding tool as I had shown cocker spaniels for 46 years. that I've checked all four of the Andis deshedding tools I own, I found another one with a broken tooth. You don't want to be 2 of 4 out of 4! Andis should be ashamed for not choosing more reliable materials for a tool that can cause harm to an animal of this kind. This tool should only be used with extreme caution!.
Trimmers that do their job. In fact, I was under the impression the problem was my inability to clip my dogs nails. In the end, it was the clippers that did the damage. Previously, there were not enough sharp edges on the poorly made ones I used. The hair on my dog mats easily as it is long and hairy. The comb/rake she loves has a particular appeal to her that most brushes do not have. Her fur is rounded at the tips of the teeth, they rotate so they don't snag, and the teeth push into the comb/rake so it curves to her body and feels like a massage to her when it's used. As a result, I can use this on her back and side, and she relaxes and closes her eyes. The wonderful little tool is now the first brush that I reach for before any grooming takes place. For me, the fact that it does not have a cutting blade was essential because I have a Norwich Terrier that should be stripped of coat by hand rather than shaved or cut. It is hard to believe the amount of hair my 130lb shepard mix sheds. You do not have to press hard or tug, this glides smoothly and you will be amazed at how much hair you get out of it. My groomer recommended this tool to me, and I do found it to work better than the Furminator, which costs three times more. In spite of the fact that my dog doesn't typically love brushing, I have so far been able to get him to sit still during the brushing process. If you have a dog that sheds a lot and has a long coat, I strongly recommend this. (Plus, my dog is mostly black, so you see a lot of hair!
