Questions & Answers
These replacement cups were designed specifically for Kordon's OASIS turtle ramps. We're sorry, but we haven't put it to the test as a shower caddy.
I'm not at home right now to check, but I'll do so later. They're probably around one, in my opinion. 5 - 2" in diameter I suppose this is a standard size for aquarium cups. I hope this information is useful.
no hole.
They're a lot bigger than they appear. It has a diameter of about an inch.

When the suction cups started to fail after about a year, I had the basking area. These were purchased to replace the ones I had previously purchased. To begin with, it's inconvenient that the platform calls for six suction cups, but only four are included in this package. Second, the new suction cups only lasted about two months before they stopped working and turned white, with some even inverting on the sides and no longer sucking. I went out and bought another pack, assuming the replacements were part of a bad batch. A month later, exactly the same thing happened! br>br>The platform as a whole is fantastic, and it's ideal for my fully grown big-kids. RES RES RES RES RES RES RES RES RES RES RES RES RES RES RES RES RES When the platform (including the original 6 suction cups) cost me $30ish, it's not worth it to have to replace these overpriced pieces of plastic every few months. What a waste of time!.
These things must be purchased on a regular basis. It irritates me. Reading other reviews that said you just have to think of these as a throwaway and give in to the fact that you have to keep buying them gave me some comfort. However, it appears that I am getting less and less use out of them before they turn white (from clear), harden, and stop working. The previous time, I didn't even last two months. Very sad. I'm going to start looking into other possibilities. A friend showed me some industrial suction cups that they bought at Harbor Freight, and I think I'll go check them out to see if I can adapt some of them. His was over a year old and had previously been used in a hot tub, so hopefully it will work. I can't imagine ordering more than a few dozen of these per year. It's also not fun to have to keep adjusting them as they break down.
It worked great for a while, but the included cups started losing suction and couldn't support the weight of my adult-sized turtle. Thankfully, instead of having to buy another $40 ramp, Oasis sells these replacement suction cups, which, after a few days of use, I'm happy to report, work extremely well. I'm not sure if they were designed for a different type of Oasis ramp because they were a much tighter fit than the older suction cups; they may just need to be broken in, but they took a little elbow grease to get into the ramp. Regardless, they perform admirably once installed. br>br>In general - It's a fantastic product that will help you get the most out of your Oasis ramp. It's important to remember that this is a four-person game. Pack, so make sure you get the right amount (the large ramp requires six, but many of their other smaller ramps only require three or four). This book comes highly recommended.
In a single year, I've increased my income by 5 times!.
I also use a couple of extra hangers on the sides of the ramp to support the weight of my turtle, which greatly improves the rig's overall stability. Some of the other reviewers complain about the cups' short lifespan, but I bought my last set almost two years ago, which is a long time in a turtle tank. Unfortunately, they are not sold in 6-packs, so you will need to purchase multiple packs to replace all of the cups.
These suction cups disappointed me because they didn't fit the holes and the seller was not someone I would recommend. When I contacted him to return the item, he/she gave me a hard time, claiming that the cups didn't fit or look as described. I simply said "forget it" after three emails back and forth. He or she made a big deal out of it. First, they stated that if they received them and they "fit," I would not be eligible for a refund. They may have been appropriate for them, but not for me. And how do I know if they "fit" what they're "fitting" in the first place? He also stated that if they were to issue a refund, it would be minus "shipping costs" as well as their "Amazon Fee. " I've never seen anything like it before. Despite the fact that the item was so inexpensive, they acted as if returning it would cost them a fortune! I had forgotten about it because it was only a little over six dollars. But I'm not going to buy anything from them again.
Suction cups lose their effectiveness over time. When the old ones lose their grip on our big turtle ramp, I use these. They are extremely effective. I always have extra on hand in case of an emergency.
With my very large red-colored ramp, these suction cups will keep it up. Before needing to be replaced, the ear slider should last at least four months. You could probably wash and reuse them, but I prefer to replace them every four to six months. They are extremely powerful. top notch.
