Is it capable of reaching a height of 20 feet?

It can, but it won't go back to its shortest length. The spring is a little stretched because the ideal distance is 16 feet.

Is the galvanized wire used in the spring?

It is, without a doubt. I've had it outside for a few years and haven't noticed any rust.

Is the spring sold separately?

It is not possible to purchase the spring separately.

Is it possible to use this on a four-foot gate?

On four feet, there are two options. the wire should be buried beneath the gate Use the two eyelets and handle that are sold separately, and the same wire that your fence is made of.

These spring gates are both attractive and durable. They're a lot nicer than the ones sold at Tractor Supply. I bought one there, then ordered two more from Amazon, and I prefer the Amazon ones by a factor of ten. They have a nice big hook, and the ends are much bigger, so the grip won't slip out of your hand like the Tractor Supply one did.

It went above and beyond my expectations

I have a couple of mischievous horses who would run into the two gates across the front of the barn and knock them off their hinges, allowing them to enter and exit when they weren't supposed to. This was the solution to the problem. It was a little difficult to get the handle on the spring's end. It does not come pre-assembled, but it was simple to put together after that. When spring is let down, it stretches nicely and snaps back into shape. I'm going to order more.

These are marginally better than simple handles

They work as intended, but if you forget to close the latch and snap them back into place, they may lose their shape the first time. They can also stretch with moderate ease, preventing them from returning to their original position. They'd be a better deal if they were less expensive. If your horses don't test the fence, they'll work just fine, barring any user error.

For the price, it outperforms everything else I've ever seen. It can be used for gaps of more than 16 feet, as stated in the description.

These are fantastic. For a gate opening of 12', this product was used. It's straightforward, effective, and simple to use. And it'll make your arse jump out of its socket. Lol.
