Is this the only way to get to the top? Why is a single top a third of the price of the six-panel gat?

Yes, there is only one top, so if you get the six-panel gate, you'll need two of these to cover the entire top. I'm not sure why the price is so high; my dog had to have TPLO surgery and spent two months in a six-panel crate and did fine.

It appears to be of good quality, and it functions satisfactorily in general. However, the materials used were not of the highest quality. It accomplishes the goal. br>There were two cracks in the wood frame. Duck tape and packing tape were used to repair the damage. You can't have the top on and the gate open at the same time. br>To open the gate, you'll need to remove the wire top (which is sold separately). It was a pain.
