Selected User Reviews For Field Guardian Retractable Tape Gate Kit, 20-Feet
These gates are great because they're simple, electrified (so the horse doesn't push against them), and you don't have to deal with a large, awkward swinging gate. When bringing just one horse out of the herd through the gate, make a small space for him to pass through so that the other horses don't think they'll be able to sneak through as well. Internal springs, however, can break, especially in cold weather. It's quite costly in terms of labor and money to keep replacing them!.
It's been a year since I bought it. It has now been exposed as a fraud. We didn't wear out this gate because it's the one we use the least. If we used it every day, I doubt it would last this long. Because the metal coil has broken, it can no longer be retracted. I'm going to stick to rope gates for now. At this price, I'm not willing to re-place it.
terrible. 1) Within a year, the internal spring corrodes and stops extending. 2) The plastic guard is made up of two halves that catch and hold the electric tape, preventing it from retracting.
I needed a way to cross my back gate with the electric fence. I live on the edge of a pond and go in and out on a regular basis. Everyone is taken aback by how simple it is to operate. br>br>Everything you'll need to mount it is included in this kit.
When I pulled out 3/4 of the way on two of the six I purchased, they would not retract back into the holder. This product has made me very angry!!
Mark.
The product is sound, but the tape is too short to be useful. It should be twice as long as it is now.
br>br>This kit includes everything you'll need to mount it to a Tpost or a wood post; the instructions are simple to follow, and the materials appear to be of good quality. br>br>It took me about 5 minutes to put this together! It's 20' long, which I adore. It's been up for a while and is still holding its tension, it looks great and is simple to use, and my donks respect it.
Installing and using it is simple. My horses used to rub against the gate, but now they respect it! I've had it up for a few months and it appears to be holding up well. For the money, I strongly suggest this gate.
