Update: Aside from the rust, the entire gate collapsed in under three months. There must be better options available from a company that stands behind their product. br>br>Previousbr>br>We purchased this because it was designed for use outdoors. We've had it up for about three weeks and it's holding up well. However, it has already begun to rust, which should not be the case for an outdoor product. This does not appear to be the right product if you are looking for something that will last.
For a bunny, I used this fence indoors. I looked everywhere for a fence with bars she couldn't jump over, through, or under. This is exactly what I needed. br>br>I primed it and then painted it with a bright aqua color from Seafoam. br>br>Because my bunny isn't the brightest, she bites the fence, which means my paint needs to be touched up now and then; however, if I had kept the fence black, I would have had ZERO problems with it. If the latch is tight, adding oil to it will make it move much more easily.
We've had two on our deck since spring (approximately six months), and we've been pleased with them. However, rusting has occurred at joints, resulting in rusty water stains. To fix it, I pressure washed off as much light rust as I could and sprayed both of them with black Rustoleum spray. They now not only look better, but they're also weatherproof. If these will be exposed to the elements, I'd recommend taking them out of the box on the first day and spraying them with rustoleum before installing. If you're installing them on a deck under a roof, you can probably skip this step and go straight to the installation. Overall, I'm pleased with them, and they don't appear to be low-cost gates. 4 out of 5 stars.

Slats and edges spaced close enough together to prevent small children from wriggling through! We have a very energetic puppy who will squeeze through regular walk-through gates and scramble over gates that are too low for us to step over. When you don't have anything else to do, it's hilarious to watch.
I bought this gate to keep my puppy contained in one area. She is a four-month-old Morkie who weighs four pounds. I'd had it with climbing over the old wooden gate. This is an amazing gate. It was extremely simple and quick to install. It is precisely what I was looking for!.
This product has previously been reviewed by me. My two dogs were unable to escape, so I gave it five stars. My 12-pound chihuahua/rat terrier mix, on the other hand, could easily jump over it as she grew older. I gave it four stars because it still appears to be the best gate I've seen thus far. Using one of the extension pieces, I was able to extend the bottom a few inches. horizontalizing the object I increased the height of the gate. The extra "side attachment" was secured to the bottom part of the gate with zip ties. This isn't how it's supposed to work, but it kept our chihuahua from jumping over it for a few months longer. I don't think any gate would have worked because she now jumps so high. Our 20-pound French bulldog/boxer mix managed to get through. She was unable to exit this gate at any time. If your dog isn't a jumper, I think this gate is a good option.
This is for the bottom of my stairs outside the deck, so my old lady dog can't go up and hurt herself, as she isn't doing so well on stairs these days. (After the first rain, there are a few rust spots on it, so they had to be there to begin with. ) This is the only "outdoor" walk-through gate I could find on Amazon or anywhere else online. I'm hoping it doesn't rust any more and becomes unsightly.
It is, however, clearly not intended for use in the outdoors. It started rusting after the first rain. It gets wet inside, and rusty water drips onto the deck when you open the gate. This isn't even close to being an outdoor gate!.
