In a nutshell, Taking into account that I have a 50lb husky and a 67lb lab (80 lbs at the time of purchase) I estimate this is 50 lbs. Even though I don't use it every day (maybe a handful of times a month), I still find it to be of decent quality, although I got it a little over a year ago. Because the dogs both get too excited and pull when I walk them together at the same time, I don't walk them at the same time daily, but the bungee hasn't stretched out too much. Though I do prefer to add a second leash to the bungee if I feel like I'll have more control of the dog. Because they don't tangle when they switch sides, which they always did when I used separate leashes, I really like this. When the bungee is coupled with a 6' leash, it adds some extra length. If you pair it with a 4ft leash, the dog will have the equivalent of the 6ft but the leash is shorter.
As soon as my dog pulled on the leash, the leash snapped in half. Besides liking the concept, it might be useful for you to add reinforced clips to the areas that need them.

I now have an easier time walking my two hounds with the assistance of this product.
