The collar that I attach to her leash allows me to control how much length she can roam while still controlling how far she can run. As long as you have something sturdy to wrap around, it's easy. I can snap it around any tree, post, or bench that I am going to access on the way over. It looked like they had solved whatever problem there was with the current leash, because I read a couple of reviews about grommets. Despite months of BIG dog abuse, my leash still looks nearly new and has no signs of wear. Among all leashes, this one is the one I'll choose first. Recognized as the highest honor.
Update in progress I have had this for almost a year now and have yet to solve it I would describe it as slightly dirty. However, the results are I gave it five.

This is an incredible idea that results in a leash design that is incredibly convenient. Rather than three stars if that were all I had to say, I'd give the product five stars. It is the grommets that cause the fatal flaw. We pulled the top grommet (used for the hand loop) completely free from the leash fabric within a year of using it. It had been bent and torqued so much that a big tug from our dog was enough to do it. It was also dangerous to overstress the leash, because a 40lb border collie mix was being leashed with a 1" leash. When you look at the grommet, you will see that it's a relatively thin, stamped metal piece. All grommets we hooked into had dents and bends pretty early on, so it wasn't exactly a shock when the most used grommet eventually gave out. Even with the flaw, I still intend on buying another leash of the same type. It would be better if I could pay a little more and get a leash of greater strength.

In light of the original review below, I feel the need to make some edits. The gromets on this leash tore out after two months, so I only gave it three stars. To tell the vendor that there are a few things it need to fix, I intended to provide some feedback. I was emailed twice by Sara, offering to sell me Not once has a vendor provided a replacement free of charge for an average rating. I loved how Sara cares about her customers and it turns out I would have been better off ordering a longer leash in the first place. I would like to thank Snappy Pet Products for their awesome customer service! Although I do like the idea of the grommet, one of mine has already fallen out after spending about two months using it. However, there are still others in the room. No matter how you slice it, it's still a solid recommendation.

Due to the clip on both ends of my leash, I can use one leash for 2 dogs. For occasions when I only have one dog with me, either clip one end into the grommet (as shown in the display picture) and create a normal leash handle, or wrap it around my waist and use as a handbag. Today (5 years later), I went back to this leash to see if there were more colors, such as green, purple, orange, etc. , since I like to match leashes to my dog's collars, and I just got the purple collar for him. While I am disappointed to see that no new colors have been added in 4 years, I understand that it could take longer. While I do not recommend this leash due to the limited colors, I do find it very useful.
