Because the strap can be adjusted to a fairly long length, I believe they would. My pups can stand up and lie down in the back seat because mine is fairly short. If I lengthened them, I believe they would be able to get onto the floor and lay down if they so desired. I agree with the previous response that they are 26 inches fully extended, so I would measure from the seat latch, as the other person suggested, to see if they would allow the dogs to lie down on the floor. I hope this has been of assistance. The seat belts are fantastic!
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, and According to AAA, an 80-pound dog colliding at 30 mph will exert 2,400 pounds of force. According to the manufacturer's description, this is only rated for 850 pounds of weight. Crash tests for pet seatbelt restraints are something I would look into. Only three people have passed, and you are not one of them.
These dog seat belts, as far as I can tell, are designed for dogs weighing up to 110 pounds. Before securing the dog to the seat belt, make sure he or she is wearing a harness.

After conducting extensive research, I purchased this product for our 25-pound cocker spaniel, and it was tested only two weeks ago. Our Ford Focus was Tboned by a truck while we were traveling 54 miles per hour on impact; my car was totaled because the front end was destroyed, and my husband and I were seriously injured, but Joy remained seated in her Mighty Paw safety belt and was unharmed. I'm only getting another because hers has already been tested and I want to be safe. I've told everyone I know about this fantastic safety belt, including hospital staff and dog owners.
So, a few days ago, I was driving down the highway to drop my dog off at doggie daycare before work, and I was doing about 70 mph when I suddenly had to hit the brakes and swerve because the truck a few car lengths ahead of me lost three barrels from their truck bed and came flying right at my car. My 56-pound door dog was thrown forward and landed on the backseat floor. He was tethered from his harness to the anchor in the backseat, but the tether snapped, and he was lucky not to be hurt. This device, which is marketed as a safety device for a dog in the car and is supposed to keep them safe during an accident, did not perform as expected. To demonstrate the snapped tether, I attached photos. A few days later, I took a picture of my dog to show where he sits and what harness he wears.
RECOMMENDATION: DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! Is it possible for me to give this a 0 out of 5 star rating? br>First and foremost, I'd like to state that I was very excited to receive this because of the rotating carabiner. I was quickly let down by the carabiner's quality. that putting on the latch bar attachment was difficult I turned for a second as I was putting it on (our dog was already in the car), and the latch bar (which was still unattached to the car) was now attached to my dog's paw. We had to wait 15 minutes to get it off her paw because she was in so much pain. She has a high pain tolerance and was both helping and crying the entire time. br>If you get it, make sure you NEVER leave your dog unattended with it near by (even for a millisecond).
These are the PERFECT answer to the problem of transporting a large breed dog in a small vehicle. Rain, my neapolitan mastiff rescue dog, had trouble riding in the backseat of our Volkswagen Golf when she stood up. She'd become frightened and nervous, which made her dizzy. In addition, we wanted to avoid having a 110-pound dog become a projectile in the event of a collision. These allow her to sit comfortably in the back seat's center seat and enjoy the ride--plus she gets to be the backseat driver! The fact that the hardware is all-in-one appeals to me greatly. It's made of metal and has a thick nylon strap that's both secure and comfortable. The fact that it attaches to the seat anchors was enough to persuade me to buy it. I didn't want the buckles' failure point to be a consideration. Thank you for making Rain's car rides more enjoyable! br>br>.
He began moving around in the back once he was restrained. Which resulted in him being tangled so tightly around my other dog's midsection that I had to cut first this belt, then both dogs' harnesses to free them. I've never felt so frightened in my entire life! To think that if I hadn't heard a strange noise from behind and turned around, my poor boy could have been seriously injured or even killed.
It's a fantastic product with a fantastic design. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that I couldn't find any information about this product being crash-tested. whether it has been crash-tested, and if so, whether it has received approval. certification of test results I've attempted to contact the manufacturer directly, but have yet to receive a response. The physics of a sudden stop, even at low speeds, is incredible, and I simply don't know how to test it. Having said that, I give this product OUTSTANDING marks for the company's design concept of actually using the child anchors provided in modern automobiles, as well as ease of use and the carabiner's swivel. br>br>For the time being, I've been using it in the back seat of our car for errands. Highway travel is a breeze, and I'm pleased with how well it works in everyday situations.
Even though my son despises being drooled on by the puppy, he would rather be sat on. Carabeaner works well; we've had it for about a month and use it on a daily basis. We have a 90-pound Weimaraner who can sit, stand, and lay down on command.
This works great to keep my 55-pound lab/pit mix contained in the backseat. Instead of the seat belt latch bars, I attached it to the latch bars at the top of my seats. This prevents her from becoming tangled up. After that, she hooks the carabiner to the back of her Kong Comfort harness. She no longer flies forward to the floor when I apply the brakes. It also prevents her from leaning too far out the open window or jumping out of the car as soon as the door is opened. Unlike other similar products, it is also adjustable (via metal slide bars). It appears to me that in the event of an accident, it would prevent her from colliding with passengers in the front seats, as well as distracting the driver. This is something that every pet owner should have to keep their pets safe.
