My 30 terrier must remain in the back seat to prevent him from reaching the gear shift and knocking it out of place. I purchased this set because I couldn't decide which one I preferred - the tether for the seat belt or the headrest harness Both work well in my Toyota RAV 4 (model year 2008). The seat belt connection is good on the left and right buckles, but not so much in the middle. ) Because I frequently have my grandkids in their booster seats with the left and right seat belts, I end up using the headrest harness. br>br>One time, my dog stepped on a seatbelt connection, unbuckling my granddaughter. My granddaughter let me know she was unbuckled so I could pull over and re-buckle her; however, I don't think the seat belt tether will be used for the dog because I can't risk him stepping on it and escaping.
This was purchased for the purpose of taking our puppy on vacation (3. Driving time: 5 hours. I got it the day before we were to leave. Our dog will benefit greatly from this seat belt. It's a little short for her, as she's a small doodle, and standing up on the seat makes it a little tight. It's comfortable to sit in, though I wish it stretched out a little more. Overall, I'm pleased.
