My 30 terrier must remain in the back seat to prevent him from reaching the gear shift and knocking it out of place. I purchased this set because I couldn't decide which one I preferred - the tether for the seat belt or the headrest harness Both work well in my Toyota RAV 4 (model year 2008). The seat belt connection is good on the left and right buckles, but not so much in the middle. ) Because I frequently have my grandkids in their booster seats with the left and right seat belts, I end up using the headrest harness. br>br>One time, my dog stepped on a seatbelt connection, unbuckling my granddaughter. My granddaughter let me know she was unbuckled so I could pull over and re-buckle her; however, I don't think the seat belt tether will be used for the dog because I can't risk him stepping on it and escaping.
This was purchased for the purpose of taking our puppy on vacation (3. Driving time: 5 hours. I got it the day before we were to leave. The car seat belt did not fit into our seat belt catch, which was a huge disappointment for me. We had no choice but to use the seat belt that runs across the back of the seat. Because I didn't have time to return, I had no choice but to use.
So I came across it and decided to purchase it. Even though I won't be using the stand-up one, the set was a great deal. I have a 7-pound poodle that I would love to hold in my lap, but I force her to sit in the back seat because I am unselfish. She wouldn't be able to live if she was thrown from the car, through the windshield, or crushed by an air bag in the event of an accident.
I've tried other seatbelts for my dog, but this one is the best. It's long enough for him to move around a little in the backseat while remaining secure. Very simple to set up- Simply place it over your backseat's headrest. It also functions as a leash and includes a bag holder for plastic garbage bags. Wonderful items!.
So far, everything has gone well. Material that is both durable and long-lasting. A 70-pound Great Dane puppy has joined our family. I had to use it in a different way in the end. This is due to my dog stepping on the seat belt release button, causing the strap to be released. As a result, I included a strong clasp. I attached it to the headrest metal post, and it now works perfectly for me.
We tried it on one of our four 90-pound pitbulls, and he couldn't get out of his seat! That in and of itself is a plus! They're well worth getting! It is appealing to us.
Our dog will benefit greatly from this seat belt. It's a little short for her, as she's a small doodle, and standing up on the seat makes it a little tight. It's comfortable to sit in, though I wish it stretched out a little more. Overall, I'm pleased.
He is completely oblivious to it.
