LATCH is mandatory in all passenger vehicles manufactured after 2002. They usually sit in the back row of a sedan or coupe's outboard seats. Examine the owner's manual for your vehicle.
When it comes to making a decision, a lot depends on the dog's height and length. I bought the medium for a 32-pound dog and a 16-pound dog because they were both smaller than Ned. I bought the large for my 50-pound Australian Shepherd, but she's much taller than the other two. I hope this information is useful to you. By tying a string to your vest and anchoring it in the car, you can determine the length required. She was able to use this information to determine the length that was required. Always use a harness instead of attaching cable to a collar!
My two dogs aren't particularly long, so they don't tangle easily. You should be fine if you just attach them to the outer anchors. Between them, they are almost as long as the backseat. Because the two inner anchors are closer together, I can see tangling if you use them.
The price is for one of them because they are sold individually. They're fantastic seat belts, and the best I've ever used.

I put it to the test by picking him up for a weekend visit. It went off without a hitch, and he was completely unconcerned. After two TPLO surgeries as a result of a car accident in which he was not at fault, he is in rehab. Since our car accident, I've noticed that when I come to a stop or take off, I'm more concerned about him and his safety. As a result, this has greatly aided in reducing my anxiety and allowing me to concentrate on the road. br>br>**Pitbull 87lbs stands 27 inches tall from the top of his head/ears to the floor. From the top of the head/ears to the floor, this chair is 29 inches tall. So I brought the XXL for the extra length and to allow him to sit comfortably, turn around without getting tangled, and lay down. The length and width are ideal. Everything went off without a hitch. br>br>My Rogue is a tie-in. metal clips in the cargo area, which I used to attach the seatbelt. Each clip can support up to 150 pounds of weight.
Modification is simple. I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing this product to replace the flimsy clip that connects the restraint to the seat belt; my dog simply jumped into the front seat as if he hadn't been clipped at all. My dog is supposed to be protected by a very thin piece of 1/4" wide spring metal. It's terrifying to think that someone could - anyone - In an accident, he'd be right out there, panicked, in traffic, so this clip might have appealed to him. br>br>However, the cable itself is so good and well made that it's worth it to buy this device and replace the seat belt clip. To grab the nylon portion of the belt just behind the receiver and through the loop of this restraint, I used a steel locking carabiner, also known as a quick link chain connector. Close the nut and your dog will be perfectly safe. He won't be able to bite through this one to get to the front, and he won't be able to step on the seat belt release to free himself from the standard seat belt pet restraints.
I bought a x-ray machine. My 60 pound dog ate my nylon restraint, so I ordered a large/31" size for him. This product is effective in the following areas: But it does not stop people from nibbling. For the past 30 years, I've had dogs. It's only recently that people have become more concerned about their safety. When I was looking for products, I came across the Pet Safety Council's website. There, I saw product after product fail on test dummies, much to my surprise and horror. Following that, I had a lengthy discussion with the council's founder - a show with only one female performer - & I was able to glean even more information. To my surprise, and yet again, shock - Car pet safety does not have the same government/manufacturing standards as child seats. Blessed be her heart, the woman has been fighting the battle that we should all be fighting - However, it was in vain - It's been years(!) since we've seen each other. ) At the time of writing, she is collaborating with Suburu, but she is having trouble raising funds for the costly testing. Manufacturers deceive consumers by claiming to be conducting "safety testing" or "crash testing. " "It is too costly for manufacturers to develop a product, including testing. " When the founder of the Pet Safety Council asked for interest in vehicle safety standards, he received a variety of negative responses. Because it isn't for "people," it appears that no one is interested in funding. But, of course, pet safety in the car is also people safety - Dogs can and do fly out of windows in car accidents, just like missiles. Other motorists, as well as the occupants of the vehicle, may be harmed. Of course, we pet owners are concerned about the safety of our pets, but it appears that if we are going to make the case for improved vehicle pet safety, we will have to start with the potential human risk. More information is available at Center for Pet Safety dot org. I'm hoping that as pet owners, we can band together to influence manufacturing for the betterment of our fur babies and families.
These are the most effective teethers for dogs in car seats. I have a Leonberger, and I started him on this at the age of eight weeks, when he only needed the shortest one. But as he grew, this became too short, so I bought a medium one, which worked for a while but soon became too short as well, and combining the two made it too long, allowing my son to sit in the entire seat, which I didn't want. So I was overjoyed when I discovered that a 31" teether was now available. My leonberger is 31 inches tall at the shoulder, so this teether is ideal for keeping him secure in the back seat. He has enough space to take a seat and look out the window, and he can easily lie down. I'd like a 36-inch teether made, as I'm sure he'll outgrow this one as well. Thank you for taking the time to think about the colossal breeds.
