It easily wrapped around the headrest and allowed the dog to sit or lay down on the seat when I had a medium-sized dog. The dog can move around freely because the strap is adjustable and has a bungle section. It appeals to me and I believe it is a wise purchase.
I'd use a harness if I were in that situation. If the brakes are applied too quickly, the collar may cause damage to the dog's neck.
It can be adjusted, but I'm guessing 14 - 16 inches. The circumference of the ring is 16 inches.
I'm not sure because mine weighs 80 pounds, but you could be talking about 150 pounds.

I've already installed the dog safety belt in the car after receiving it. My Yorkie travels well in the car, but when I get out, she becomes agitated and tries to jump out. On a recent trip to Virginia, she jumped at the fuel island, panicked, and began running, and I was unable to catch her. She was on the verge of being hit by a car. Never again; she'll be hooked up from now on! Harness and seatbelt must now be left in the vehicle. This is an excellent product.
My little doodle pup is so active that she would step on it and unbuckle it when I had another type that buckled into the seat belt latch. This is a lot more secure. I'm confident she's safe.
This was purchased to keep my dog safe in the front seat while my son was dropped off at school. Everything is in order. Allows her to move around in the seat without jumping out the window or into the driver's seat. I like how it has a bungee elastic cord in it so that if she pulls too hard or I have to hit the brakes for these crazy Houston drivers, it won't hurt her as much. I simply turn the front seat around when I need to use it for something else. The vibrant pink color is fantastic. I'd suggest it.

This thing is extremely durable and fits perfectly into the harness of my 19-pound dog. I feel a lot better now that she's in the front seat with me, but I also like that it can be used in the back. It's adjustable and, in an emergency, can be used as a leash. For pet owners, this is a must-have.

I'm thinking about donating the second one as well. I'm surprised because my dog, who is 18 months old, has never destroyed anything before. She has a sensitive mouth and prefers to eat only her Nyla bone. Clearly, it didn't take much to get past this low-quality material.
