The collar can be adjusted and cut to fit your needs; some users have reported that the ends of the collar greyed after cutting, but this can be avoided by melting the ends with a lighter. We didn't have a problem with it. The product isn't as bulky as some bark collars, and it comes with two sets of prongs to ensure the right depth for reaching the dog's skin, even through thick fur! This bark collar is extremely effective. What I like about it is that it emits an audible beep to warn the dog that if he continues to bark, he will be shocked. I bought it for my mother's yappy small breed dog without realizing it needed to be assembled. She couldn't get it to vibrate on her own, so she had to keep zapping the dog until I could figure out what was wrong. The dog is still alive, but when it sees the collar, it pees. That's why I rated it two out of five stars. Overall, neither mom nor the dog had a pleasant experience.

So far, everything has gone well; I have another one, made by the same company, that also works well, but it is a remote control. When I don't have access to the remote, I bought this one to use for barking. I haven't had it long, but I've only charged it once since receiving it, so it appears to last a long time on a charge. I was hesitant to purchase a collar, but the barking of my dogs had become excessive. They came to a halt almost immediately after hearing the first beep. They were so disturbed by the vibration that when they heard the beeping, they immediately stopped barking. It was the first time I had visitors and didn't have to confine the dogs to a room. It's a well-made product that's simple to use. Until I got my new puppy, I never imagined I'd need something like this. She is, to put it mildly, "spunky. " The collar appears to be functioning properly. So far, I've only experimented with the beep and vibrate modes. I like that there are three different modes to choose from: beep, vibrate, and static shock. It is a high-quality item at a reasonable cost.
