It's half the price and it's just as good
5/5

Since 2003, I've had an Invisible Fence for my dogs. I've had the fencing put up on five different properties where I've lived. I used to buy the official brand batteries until 2010, when I discovered there was a cheaper alternative (this one). So I gave it a shot and have been pleased with the results ever since. I've been using this alternative battery for almost 9 years, and it lasts just as long as the brand battery and performs exactly the same. My dogs swim (or swam) in their collars on a regular basis and have had no problems. br>br>The IF brand batteries are about $22 each, and this battery is half the price. My dogs don't/didn't test the fence too much, but the newer collar uses the battery to flash green when it's fine (and red if it's dying). From 2003 to 2010, I was on the battery plan, but it was way too much. For over $70 a year, I could get four replacements, but I only needed one or none. I didn't require four each year. I found some value in their plan because I had multiple dogs (at one point, I had three) and I'd only sign one dog up for the battery plan and use the batteries to replace all three dogs' batteries each year and have a spare (but the batteries typically lasted longer than a year, so I ended up with a surplus or I'd change them unnecessarily before the batteries actually died). Even though I only have one dog and only need one replacement once a year or less, getting three replacements through IF's brand was still more expensive than this alternative brand. My two oldest dogs have since passed away, and I now only have one dog and only need one replacement once a year or less. For a single battery, IF charges far too much. And it makes me feel uneasy every time I visit their local store- They try to upsell me all the time. I only go in there every other year to buy a new collar because the old ones don't clean well (even with scrubbing) and smell after a while, and I keep getting a fake 'invoice' from IF for a battery plan I haven't had in 9 years. Although it appears to be a bill, it is only an optional plan. I don't owe them anything, but the statement is deceptive. br>br>IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IN Even if the battery is dead, keep the original Invisible Fence battery. If your dog's collar unit isn't battery-operated, please let us know. When you go to a technician for help with something related, the first thing they do is check the battery. Your warranty will be voided if they discover you're using a battery that isn't made by Invisible Fence. They will refuse to assist you, blaming your problems on your failure to charge their battery. So, before they arrive, simply replace that dead Invisible Fence battery. Sure, they'll say the battery is dead, but insist on getting a new one so they can figure out what the real problem is.

It has a malfunction
3/5

I'm guessing this battery works, but my son rarely goes through the fence line, so I can't say for sure. It's been a week since I got it, and the top just fell off while he was sleeping. There's no way to get the battery out now that it's locked. It's all about the money. I'll leave the battery in place until I receive a replacement from invisible fence. Then you have to try to get this cheap piece of garbage out of it. And I'm crossing my fingers that I don't break the receiver in the process. If that happens, I'll file a lawsuit against the manufacturer for a replacement receiver. br>br>Unfortunately, the invisible fence office in my area is closed, so I'll have to pay $23 for their battery. I'll need to pay for shipping, so it'll be $0. 00. But it's getting the garbage out without causing any damage that worries me. I suppose what you pay for is what you get. Be careful who you buy from. Don't waste your money on low-cost garbage.

In my ICT-related work, I am unreliable
3/5

Dog fence for 725 dogs The battery would only work half of the time. The previous owner of the house installed an Invisible Fence ICT 725 loop and collar for us. Although it appears that they used official batteries, we decided to give these a shot. This battery's contacts are larger than those on the official battery, and we found this brand to be unreliable. The collar would not work half of the time, but if you walked outside with it and fiddled with the battery, it would start working again. The contacts simply do not make a secure connection with the collar's contacts. This may be acceptable for a trained dog, but it is not acceptable when properly training a new dog with the fence. br>br>I discovered that bending the contacts out a little helped, but it was still unreliable, and one of the contacts broke off eventually. This is a brand that I will almost certainly never buy or consider. I'm not sure how they can sell a battery with contacts that aren't physically identical to the original battery's contacts. With "Compatible R21, R22, R51," it appears that they are attempting to take a one-size-fits-all approach, but this is most likely a bad idea.

Received and installed this battery in my dog's collar in mid-September, and it is still going strong in mid-January
5/5

Once a month or so, I remove my dog's collar and test it at the perimeter of my underground fencing, and it passed the test last night. These batteries appear to last as long as the ones you get from Invisible Fence (which, given their astronomical price, do not last very long!) As mentioned in a previous review; Keep your original battery and replace it if you need a maintenance visit from the company so that your warranty isn't voided because you used a different battery in the collar!.

I bought these to replace the battery in my dog's invisible fence collar, and they work great
5/5

Before purchasing these, I read through many other reviews. I don't want to have to replace batteries every month, and I prefer to do so on a schedule so that I don't forget. For me, I change them every three months as instructed by the fence salesman, so why mess with it? I haven't noticed any signs that the batteries aren't functioning, and I check them manually with the collar on a regular basis to ensure that they are. Before three months, I had not had a single battery fail on me. So far, I haven't had any issues with the battery breaking down like others have, and the only thing I noticed that was a little concerning at first is that these batteries appear to be a lot more snugly fitting than the Invisible fence brand batteries. Overall, these batteries are something I would recommend.
Pros- br>Long battery life. br>Much less expensive than the Invisible Fence brand. br>Cons- br>Due to O-, it's a very tight fit. the diameter of the ring.

THIS BATTER SHOULD NOT BE PURCHASED
3/5

ALL OF THE ONE THE STAR REVIEWS ARE ACCURATE - DEAD BATTERY is a term used to describe the state of a battery that has IN THE INVISIBLE FENCE COLLAR, THE BATTERY DOES NOT WORK. SO MUCH FOR THAT, I THOUGHT I'D BE SPECIAL AND GET A GOOD BATTER. TRY SAVING $10 AND GETTING A TERRIBLE PRODUCT. THIS IS NOT A GOOD ITEM TO BUY!.
