Not only did the barking continue, but it grew louder. My husband tried to persuade me to get a shock collar, but I decided against it and bought this instead, crossing my fingers. She stopped barking the first time because it caught her completely off guard. Then it's up to you. To see if it would vibrate, she would test it by barking hesitantly. I praised her whenever she stopped barking, and after about a week, she had completely stopped. Even when she did bark during the week, she would stop when I told her. br>I'm in such a great mood! br>br>* She weighs 20 pounds, so I didn't have to raise the level above 3.
Nice quality, soft nylon with a lock clasp to keep the length correct and the extra from hanging, replacement for a training collar that came with a rubber strap I cut too short. Because my training units thread the collar around the back, it didn't come with holes for electrodes, which worked for me.
Because my dog is too smart, he chewed the clasp on the old collar, I purchased this replacement strap. However, because this strap isn't as wide as the original band it claimed to be able to replace, the box moves around more. Also, a piece of the clasp broke off only a few weeks in, so while it still clasps, a slight tug is all it takes to get it off the dog's neck. Because the teeth aren't holding the sizing in place, I had to knot the extra length to keep it from slipping.
Although Amazon quickly shipped a replacement, the seller did not respond to my email with photos. If this one stands the test of time, only time will tell.
I LOVED IT, BUT AS SOON AS MY PIT CAME IN CONTACT WITH IT, HE CHEWED THE BUCLE AND WE HAD TO GET ANOTHER, THEN ANOTHER.
I've got a new canine companion. I'll start by saying that my dog has a wireless fence that he has learned to respect simply by hearing the beep. So when I put this collar on, I had high hopes that it would work. TWO DAYS IN, HE HAD TRANSFORMED FROM A DOG WHO BARKED ALL THE TIME FOR ATTENTION TO A DOG WHO WAS COMPLETELY COOL. I'm not sure if he's noticed the vibration feature on this collar yet, because the sound alone is enough to correct his behavior. I'm so happy I tried it!.
It's difficult to find a replacement for the Dogcile vibration/shock/sound collar on Amazon. This bark collar replacement is compatible with the majority of training collars, is reasonably priced, and well-made.
