This is an excellent query. These cartridges can be recycled using the plastic recycling guidelines in your area.
Because it's a different brand, I don't think it'll fit your collar.

I go through three of these a day and wish there was a way to refill them.
I've been purchasing these for a while and am disappointed to report that they do not completely empty. I removed the cartridge manually pressed the cartridge with my nails and more came out after the spray stopped spraying and blinking Red. When it doesn't completely empty out, I believe it is a waste of money. I complained to the company that makes them, and they said they would replace my unit with a new one even though it was only a few months old because it could be defective, but that wasn't the case; the cartridges were the only thing that was defective. The purchase of the unit was a waste of money.
It worked perfectly once I got it on the right side up. My 9 lb. Pomeranian suffers from anxiety and barks at anyone who comes too close to him. The spray doesn't have a particularly unpleasant odor to it. It didn't last long at first, but once he stopped barking so much, we didn't have to use it as frequently. He wouldn't bark if you just held it up to him. This is a great option for any dog who barks a lot, and it's also very safe. I recommend purchasing the refills at the same time as the collar so you don't run out as we did. Because my dog is small, I had no trouble shortening the collar to make it fit snugly. I hope this helps; it has saved our sanity, and we can now take him with us wherever we go.
We bought a petsafe spray collar for our dog, and it seemed to work really well. However, after reading all of the reviews about how quickly the spray ran out, I decided to buy an extra pack just in case. We don't use the collar much during the day, so I figured it would last us a while. The one that came with the collar lasted us about 4 days, so I opened this pack and replaced the cartridge, knowing that I wouldn't have to worry for a few more days. NOPE! It flashed yellow after only one day of use, indicating that the battery was low. What's more aggravating is that our dog barely barked/howled on the day we used it, so it should have sprayed far less than usual, making it absurd that it ran out after only one day of use. We're stuck because this is the only product that works on our dog without harming him. If you want to use it, keep in mind that you'll need to buy a few extra packs just to get through the week. We'll have to pinch pennies if he doesn't stop barking soon, or we'll have to buy a lot more cartridges.
This collar, the cost of refills, and Amazon's refusal to allow me to return the collar once I realized it wasn't working properly have all frustrated me. This is something you should not buy.
These work fine, but they are extremely expensive for the amount of time they last; my dog barely barks with the collar on, but these only seem to last one day. 2 days. While that may seem like a small price to pay for a calm dog, it adds up quickly. At this rate, I'm expecting to spend between $10 and $20. For quiet, set aside 20 minutes each week. I would have probably kept looking if I had known that at the start.
BUT IT'S DIFFICULT AND EXPENSIVE PetSafe switched to this cartridge model for their spray collars some time ago. I've figured it out. The collars are expensive to replace, and I learned the hard way that it's critical that the collar fit snugly around your dog's neck. It will not work if the elastic is too loose. The dog will bark, and the cartridge will immediately run out of ink. If your dog, like mine, likes to bark at 3 a. m. , it will work fairly well once you get the hang of it. I also have to commend Pet Safe's customer service, which is outstanding.
After I misplaced the collar, the company refused to accept the items back, despite the fact that they were unopened. I'd also like to point out that when my dog barked, the collar did not always spray. Then, as if it were clogged, it would spray multiple times. Simply move on to a company that produces a superior product and accepts returns.
