Questions & Answers
It does not include a remote control. It only goes off when the dog barks.
I have two of these and am having the same problem with both of them. Even if there isn't any visible noise. They have the least sensitive setting on their collars. They can be triggered by sounds such as other dogs barking. Other times, they go off for no apparent reason.
When the dog does not bark, it is put on standby. When a dog barks, it activates. It can take up to two barks to activate.
I'd ask the seller, or look up what kind of charger it uses and see if you can just buy one to match; the owner's manual should have information on this!

I've been hesitant to use bark collars because I don't want to hurt my dog, but we've tried the boxes that make high-pitched noises as well as a few other options, and none of them have worked. I chose this collar because it had the option of only vibrating rather than shocking, and I liked the warning system of beeping, vibrating, and, if necessary, shock. We've only had it on him for one evening and this morning since it arrived yesterday, but it's already doing wonders. When the neighbors returned from work late last night and the mailman knocked on the door this morning, he barked once, and just the vibrate on level 3 was enough to keep him quiet! I'm relieved that I was able to locate a pain-free solution. For my dog, it's a no-cost solution! It was incredibly simple to put together, the instruction manual was clear and easy to understand, and nothing was missing from the box. I'd recommend it to anyone who has a loud dog because it's a great product for the price.
My 5-year-old mini schnauzer has always been a barker, much to the chagrin of my condo neighbors and myself. He'd "discuss" everything from hysterically barking at the doorbell to announcing the arrival of a bird in the backyard to, God forbid, another dog approaching us on a walk. It had gotten to the point where the condo board was going to give me notice that the dog was no longer welcome and would need to be rehomed. I'd spent over a grand on trainers, but they didn't work for me. I decided to order the Flittor Bark Collar as a last resort. The outcome is incredible! It's very effective. My dog didn't make a peep when the pizza delivery guy rang the doorbell tonight! It's as if he's a completely different dog now. After that, the warning vibration beeps, allowing him to rein himself in - and think twice before you bark. It took three days for everything to happen. 3 DAYS! I was concerned that the electric shock would harm him, but he appears to be unaffected. While the Flittor is charging, I put a regular collar on him for the night. We get extra attention in the morning while I switch collars - He, like me, is having a good time. br>Thank you, thank you, thank you for creating such a wonderful product that has allowed me to keep my furbaby - Now we're both content and stress-free!.
I've gone through at least a half-dozen high-end collars. Automatic shock collars were too aggressive for me, and those with a remote were either ineffective or had dead batteries. br>It just works with this collar. Once or twice a week, I shock it with low sensitivity. We set it to vibrate only when we're not around. sensitivity is very high She now only barks once every month after a month. stops. And I'm confident it won't harm her if she keeps barking at an intruder or a wild animal. The battery life is excellent, as advertised, lasting several days. I'm going to order a second one as a backup.
I bought two of these, one for a lab and the other for a jack Russell. After about two weeks, I finally gave up. The dog's barking is unaffected by the collar. The dogs quickly discovered that they must receive several warnings before receiving anything more substantial that will stop them from barking. An audible beeping is followed by vibration and a low-level shock before progressing to higher levels of shock. If the dog keeps barking, the collar will progress through these warnings. The lab was unfazed by the low-level shock, and he didn't even react to it. The smaller Jack Russell initially shook his head, but didn't seem to mind after that. When the collar is in "shock" mode, all of this happens. I ended up with two dogs who were still barking like crazy when someone came to the door. Each has a beeping sound coming from their collar as they run around. This is a feature that cannot be disabled. I tried adjusting everything (collar tightness, bark sensitivity setting, prong length, ensuring the device was correctly positioned under the dog's neck), but it never worked. If you have a very fearful dog, this might work. Because I was constantly frustrated, I threw both of them away. On the plus side, I liked the USB charging feature and the fact that each came with two collars (one nylon and one plastic). They also came with a variety of metal tips, some of which were long enough to be used with the larger lab. I wish they had worked out better, but I'm afraid I have to give these a thumbs down.
