This collar was purchased for my one-year-old German Shepherd, who is hyperactive and barks frequently. I was already a customer of this firm's Mini- On her, there is an educator. The bark collar has proven to be extremely beneficial. My husband, who does not have access to a Mini- She is steadily improving when it comes to barking at other dogs in the park as her educator walks her with this bark collar on. It also works well in hotel rooms and parking garages to keep her quiet. For her, Level 2 is a good starting point. My problem with the collar is that I can't get it on tight enough. It counts the stims and plays a tone before each one. When she barks, it doesn't always go off. It's still a useful tool, and she's getting better at controlling her bark. br>br>I strongly advise you to look over the many excellent internet resources on how to use e-mail. Jeff of Solid K9 Training, in particular, wears a lot of collars. I've also approached this training issue by combining a variety of approaches, many of which come from "positive" trainers. An ecollar stim will not help if the dog has entered the red zone of agitation. Ecollar stims, on the other hand, work great and provide clear direction to the dog if the dog has its wits about him and has been properly introduced to the tool. When you are not present, sleeping, or distracted, this bark collar will keep your dog quiet. This book comes highly recommended.
I'm a person who has been around for a very long time. time e- I've been a "big dog" collar customer for quite some time. So I decided to stick with this brand because I have a 160-pound cane corso who is high-energy and loves to bark at everything. I'm not sure why it took me seven years to purchase this. In only three days, the results were amazing. To assist him in learning, I have it set to auto increment with a tone. He may bark once or twice and then stop, rather than barking for 5 minutes like he usually does. I don't have to stop what I'm doing to try to get him to stop talking.

That is something I strongly oppose. When I come in to let her out of the kennel, she always shakes off, and I have to tell her to sit so she doesn't shake and shock herself before I can remove it. When her whine turns into a howl, it only shocks half of the time, whereas the cheaper brand collar didn't. So it's a step forward. It's great that it can be charged at the same time as my two dog mini educators and remote. Furthermore, the battery is infinitely long lasting.
It appears to be highly unreliable; it took a lot of adjusting to get it tight enough to work minimally; it has to be tightened to the point where it chokes the dog before it even activates; it doesn't activate reliably; it activates on other noises; you occasionally hear the tone; but it only uses the electric shock on rare occasions. Although the dog is learning not to bark when I try to put it on her, I don't see any actual training benefits. This is most likely due to how uncomfortable it is to wear because it has to be tightened so much. Has only a minor impact on the dog's barking. Due to the thick coat of the German Shepherd, I had to switch out the shorter probes for the longer ones; I'm not sure if the longer probes, which aren't included in the package, are even necessary; I wouldn't recommend the product.
I just got the unit this morning, and it's already working; it didn't take long for the dog to figure it out (I'm using level 3, and it's clearly bothering her enough to make her stop barking, but it's not bad; I tried it out on my own skin first, and it feels similar to the EMS stimulator I use for my lower back). br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative I initially purchased a $25 collar made of the finest chinesium available; needless to say, it was a piece of junk that was returned within hours. It's difficult to manage two dogs, two barking problems, and two remote controls. We've tried two different remote options and can't seem to find the remote or figure out which dog is barking.
