Simply plug the charger into a 110/120V outlet and the other end of the cable into the collar base to charge the internal battery. Charges fairly quickly. We charge it every three months or so, but we don't do it very often. He won't bark if he realizes it's on.
I'm not sure what the weight limits are, but my German Shepard weighed around 50 pounds at the time I used it to train her. It has settings for how strong the stimulus is, so you can try it out or contact the manufacturer for exact weight parameters if you're worried. It can be quite powerful, so if your dog is a teacup or another small breed, I would recommend doing more research. However, the product is excellent and has proven to be effective in the treatment of my dog.
Not unless the whining is very loud and the collar is set to high sensitivity.

Even though I've only had this collar for two weeks, my dog's barking (and whining, and squeaking) has been reduced to almost nothing, which is a near-miracle. Here are a few things I've discovered: br>br>
- It is not designed to zap the dog every time he barks. My dog is never zapped even if he barks once. Before it goes off, he has to bark two or three times. I initially mistook this for a flaw, but after further consideration, I'm glad it was designed that way. I don't want my dog to be zapped on a regular basis.
- On rare occasions, it is accidentally triggered. These unintentional zaps are rare, but they are triggered by specific events such as wearing multiple collars. The zap collar will be activated if the two collars rub together.
- If I had to estimate how often he barks vs how often the collar goes off, I’d say it goes off about 50% of the time. That doesn’t%.
It's a little difficult to write a review for this one. It has effectively stopped my dog from barking in my yard, but even on the highest sensitivity setting, it does not go off every time, or even the majority of the time that I believe it should. As a result, it's incongruent. Also, and this is my fault, I mistook the clicker for a remote that I could use to manually set off the collar. In fact, it's nothing more than a clicker that emits a noise that you can use to reward good behavior or warn your dog about bad.
This was one of my most fervent hopes. My dog trainer suggested this BRAND to me. My dog would occasionally bark excessively, but it did not always result in the alarm going off. I tighten it about half of the time, as it suggests. The prongs are extremely long, and I was afraid that if they were any tighter, I would have choked my dog. I looked up how to change the options. Just in case I'm making a mistake. I even kept it for a while and put it to use. Despite the fact that you are not supposed to, I put it to the test on myself. Even on the lowest setting, it delivers a satisfying shock. Although the dog was much quieter, I would prefer something that made more precise corrections with less shock. I've previously used electronic mail (e-mail). My dogs have tolerated the collars well. I attempted to obtain the previous brand, but it does not appear to be available. I bought two of them, and to be honest, one of them worked better than the other. It only worked on one dog, but he knows what e-mail is. When the collar is on, the dog will not bark. The other is a younger dog with a high voice who has never heard of e-mail. collars, but it didn't look good on her. It's extremely well-made. In terms of quality, I'm looking for something unique.
All long-haired dogs, who require longer electrodes and a bark sensor, have a serious design flaw in this product. An extension piece must be slipped over the bark sensor for this sensor to work. The collar will no longer register any barking if (not if) this piece falls off (see slip fit). It was working until the piece fell off, which was a shame. I was told that as a warranty issue, they would replace the extension piece once, and that if that one fell off, I would be left with a rather pricey paper weight. For a $100 dog collar, this isn't exactly the kind of customer service you'd expect.
With the exception of the function button, everything about this bark collar is of the same high quality as the educator remote collars. When pressed, the button is slow to respond, making switching between settings more difficult than necessary. Auto mode (L9) is pretty nice. Overall a great product 100%would buy again but I wish the button was equal to the educator remote collars but I wish the button was.
The quality of Educator products has always been superior to that of their competitors. I made the error of purchasing a less expensive off-brand product. In terms of control and ability to control the level of shock, brand one was a disaster. Our intention was only to provide a very low level of stimulation to help with our dogs' aggression toward other dogs, and the cheap ones were frightening in terms of the amount of shock they delivered even when turned off. We have another one for our female, and hers only vibrates, so having that feature is nice.
I've previously used Educator products, and this one is no different in terms of quality and performance. It's simple to set up (watch a YouTube video to learn how), and it's extremely effective at teaching your dog to stop barking. The bark counter is an underappreciated feature that I adore because it allows me to see how my dog is doing while I'm away. In addition, the safety feature of correcting for barks via vibration rather than sound ensures that he is never incorrectly corrected. In addition, the battery lasts an eternity and a day. This product appeals to me.
I already own their ET 300 trainer collar, which came highly recommended by our dog trainer, so I felt confident in making this purchase. My dog didn't bark for a whole night. I really like how it has a counter. My dog received 15 corrections the first night he used it, and only two the second night. He's stopped barking completely. It's simple to set up and use, and the battery lasts quite a while.
