I have two German Shepherds who enjoy barking, so I gave these a try and they're fantastic. Start with 3 as instructed, but keep in mind that this may not be enough. With one of my dogs, a setting of 3 is sufficient, but with the other, a setting of 7 is required to achieve the same effect.

This was necessary because we were relocating to a new barn and our dog was barking at the new horses. br>It performs admirably for its intended purpose and has effectively silenced the dog. The only issue is that it activates when the dog scratches himself (no loud noises or anything, just the movement of the collar). br>br>I'm not sure how long this has been going on, but I saw her scratching herself and looking shocked today. It was obviously in a lot of pain. Apart from that, it does an excellent job of what it is supposed to do. I'm just worried that it's only triggering on the accelerometer and not on both.

My Belgian malinois is a very persistent dog, so even if it's at level 6, he'll bark through it. Nonetheless, it served its purpose admirably.
