He's very possessive of our home and guards it fiercely. When my neighbors or other strangers walk by, he continuously barks loudly. I was hesitant to get one of these collars for Charles because he completely loses his mind and becomes aggressive when anything sounds loud, such as when someone knocks on the door or thunder, fireworks, etc. We've tried everything we can think of to help him with his constant barking and aggression. Thankfully, we heeded my friend's advice and purchased this bark collar, which he recommended as a professional dog trainer. br>To my surprise, this is AWESOME because it actually works! The setup is simple and straightforward, with clear instructions. The graded bark correction strategy is humane, safe, and effective! The first dog's bark only triggers a warning with beep and vibration, and the collar will only activate if there are subsequent dog barks within 30 seconds of the first. He learned quickly the first day, and he's been fairly quiet since then, never yelling at people passing by (we previously used an ultrasonic sound trainer, but she quickly became immune to it). It appears to be fairly solid, with a well-designed and sturdy appearance. **NOTICE**: This article has been updated. For the past week, this seller has harassed me nearly every day, attempting to persuade me to change my review to 5 stars or delete it entirely in exchange for a second refund ("in person," whatever that means-- I assume this means outside of Amazon's system so they aren't aware) of the purchase price or an Amazon gift card!! She also claimed that the collar didn't work for some inexplicable reason. Worse, this person claims at the end of each email that she is "a single mom of three whose life has become difficult due to soaring prices," and that I made things worse because "my review had a negative impact on her performance appraisal"! Even a picture of a sad dog is included in one email! I buy everything from Amazon, and this is the first time something similar has happened to me. I always read reviews before purchasing a product, and I try to leave honest reviews to assist others in doing the same. I would never change a review for a reward, and it's unfortunate that a seller would not only try to persuade me to change my review, but also use emotional manipulation! This collar, or any other product from this seller "Loyalfish," should not be purchased. br>br>I only had a few days and this never worked. I followed all of the instructions for setting it up, but it never worked. I kept taking it off and putting it in test mode, which seemed to work, but it didn't work on the dog. It never activated, even when a stray, very aggressive dog jumped our fence and tried to eat our chickens (fortunately) while she barked like a mad dog to chase it away. When I heard the noise, I went outside and stood beside her for several minutes, never hearing the beep or seeing her react to the shock. Then it began beeping for no apparent reason an hour later while she was resting on the floor! I felt terrible because it terrified her so much, especially since she had just rescued our chickens! I'm going to return it, and I'm not going to buy another one. The incident demonstrated to me that dogs bark for a variety of reasons, and if the collar had stopped her, we would have had a real tragedy because we love our chickens and my dog could have been injured as well. I'll look for other ways to stop her from barking so much, but first I'll make sure it's not for a good reason.

Our lab/Shephard mix, weighing 140 pounds, barks a lot. And by barker, I don't mean "I'm going to bark at the wind over and over, I'm going to bark at leaves over and over, I'm going to bark at a deer in the woods and not stop until the whole house is awake," type barker. Other training methods have been utterly ineffective. And, unfortunately, it's almost a positive reinforcement when someone wakes up from his barking because it's like "yay!" in his mind. You awoke to come play because I barked at the leaves! shoot me in the head: br> The warning beep and warning vibrate BEFORE the static shock were the ONLY reasons I ordered this collar. Blowing or "barking" into the white microphone dot on the bottom of the back side, near the prongs, is another way to test the collar. My dog is a big sissy, so it only took one time for him to be shocked when it went off. Every night since then has been peaceful and quiet. I don't function well when I don't get enough sleep. As a result, waking up once a day is not a good idea. I was unable to reach the third stage of REM sleep for 2 hours due to his barking. And that resulted in long, exhausting days. br> This product has saved my life! I strongly advise anyone who is interested in reading it to do so!.

After the lockdown ended, we went back to work, and my fur baby began to show signs of separation from us. After we left, she started barking and destroying the window curtains. She yells at anything and everything. We tried everything we could think of to get her to stop, but nothing worked. As a result, I've put her in a bark collar, and she's been very cooperative. It hasn't stressed her out, and it hasn't stressed us out either. This collar has greatly reduced her barking whenever a delivery vehicle passes by, people walk by, or at our backyard neighbors, and I like that I can set it to just the sound without the shock. Our home now has a much more serene atmosphere. This is a collar I strongly suggest.
