It's a lovely piece of artwork. 12 pound cats can both feel at ease in the same main areas of the structure. My brother's Rottweiler tried to climb on it and nearly knocked it over, but that's a 130-pound dog trying to climb something that wasn't bolted to the wall or floor. It's something I'd be willing to put my faith in.
They aren't, as far as I'm aware.
The cat beds are 12" x 12" in size.

Continue your search. When you put it all together, it appears to be a little shaky. Also, the materials are low-cost. But I figured, "It has good reviews, so we'll hope for the best. " The cats weren't big fans at first, but they eventually warmed up to it. It worked better when it was placed against two walls. However, I have two larger cats who had difficulty getting from one platform to the other, and one smaller cat who had no problems. Three weeks later, the scratching board was already falling apart at the seams, and the fabric on one of the scratching posts was peeling away. I'm going to return it, but I'll have to wait until I can find a box to put it in before I can do so. But I suppose I can return it at the very least? It's a pain in the buttocks, and it's not worth it if it's only going to last three weeks. My previous cat tree lasted more than ten years and is still in good condition, but it is beginning to show signs of wear.
It's sturdy, but the shelves aren't big enough for an adult cat. My cat is unable to turn around and must move from one shelf to another by contorting his body. He prefers the upper circular shelf and sleeps there the majority of the time, but he still leans against it. It'd be simple for a cat to fall. If the platforms had been wider, I would have given it a five-star rating.
After a long wait for this cat mansion to appear, there it was, mangled against my garage door in a box. Because it's so heavy, I asked my fiancé to bring it up. I ripped open the box, which was incredibly well-packed. I was immediately disappointed when I couldn't find the directions. It was only fair because my demon baby chihuahuas peed on their other one to spite them, so I decided that I loved my cats too much to not at least try to put this thing together. Unfortunately, I found myself staring at an Amazon picture. Thank goodness I have children and can only afford IKEA furniture for them. All the stuff I put together makes me feel like I've earned a Bach of science in assembly. When I decided to spend two hours of my life putting this thing together, I used this knowledge to my advantage. My cat, who is pictured in my review, discovered it and refuses to leave, so I'm guessing it's quite comfortable up in the castle's right wing. I was irritated by the lack of instructions and the possibility of 7 missing screws. But it's still standing, and my cats have their own penthouse suite now. The chihuahuas have a special place at the bottom.
It's not as durable as a carpeted one from the pet store, though. It's well-made and well-worth the money. I have four cats, and they all adore it (after some sniffing). The fabric isn't "carpet," but it's exactly what we needed.
Our cats were climbing all over it before we even finished building it. br>Easy to put togetherbr>As well as being very easy to put together, it has a very good quality carpet that is soft. On each level, there are fluffy pillows.
This tree is a favorite of my cats. They come in a variety of sizes (up to 20 pounds) and all fit into the various spaces. The pouch dangling off the side has supported all of the cats who have used it, but it does begin to tilt down with the heavier cats. However, I am unsurprised. They're chonks, to put it that way. The houses and perches are fantastic, and everyone can fit in them comfortably. (The bottom picture shows two cats weighing 35 pounds each, so you can see how big the base is and how well they fit in the boxes)br>The base is slightly uneven/warped, but it is still sturdy. It doesn't budge no matter how much the cats run, jump, or play on it. It's the perfect height: it's about two and a half feet below the ceiling, but the top tiers still fit in the window, allowing everyone to see out. br>There hasn't been any damage or need for replacements. After a few months, the scratching posts have a good amount of wear but are still mostly intact. Using the vacuum extender makes cleaning a breeze. br>br>It was relatively simple to put together. The most difficult part was lining things up, which wasn't too difficult; all it took was a little patience. br>br>The only thing I'd change is to add some peepholes to the sides and backs of the boxes so they can look out, but it's designed for corners, so it works. Instead, I decided to hang mine in the window.
There was no way to construct. The treaded insert/nut plate on one side of the first set of posts holding the second level to the base is missing, so the provided screws cannot be treaded into the "P2" posts.
We have four indoor cats and used to have two towers for them to play on (one large and one small). They didn't play with them at first, but as time went on, they began to use them so much that they began to fall apart (scratching posts, for example). We searched high and low for a new tower for all four cats, two of whom are very large and the other two are very rough with the towers. We chose this tower, and they were all over it before we could finish putting it together. They were quick to check it out after putting it together because it was so simple to put together. At any given time, there are one or two cats inside. Everyone who comes for a visit is always blown away by the price and the quality. Seeing ours has led to many purchases.
