I'm not sure what kind of wood it's made of, but it's incredibly durable. br>I have two large cats, one 25 pounds and the other 18 pounds, and it does not move when they jump on or off of it. br>I hope this information is useful.
I believe so because I share it with two cats, one of whom weighs 18 pounds and the other, perhaps 15, weighs a little less. They both jump on it at the same time, and the size is ideal for them both to sleep, and I even keep their food bowl up there. I did move the house to the side to make room for a food bowl, but there is a hole for a rope there, which I did not use, and instead moved the house to the front side, where that hole is. Make sure the bolts are securely fastened and you're ready to go. Be aware that this is a rather large cat tree. It's fantastic, and my pets adore it as well. I'm 84 years old and put it together on my own, so it's simple to put together if you follow the instructions.
I'm not sure about the scratching post, but I did get two extra batting balls.
The cat beds are now included in the majority of the items, but Amazon sends packages with or without cat beds at random. br>Customer Service at Wuppessen

I read reviews on a lot of cat condos and they all said it wasn't suitable for my larger cat. Then I read a review that stated that this one worked well for their larger cats, so I decided to give it a shot. I can honestly say that I am not disappointed; my boy is not only a larger cat, but also a huge one, weighing in at well over 20 pounds and having the length to match. And this product is incredible; it's sturdy enough for him to jump on, and the little hut is perfect for him to jump into and turn around in. The only thing is that I have no idea if he uses the hammock, but I am confident that if he does, he will be perfectly comfortable in it. For its height, it's a surprisingly sturdy cat condo. It has soft carpeting and well-padded top perches, making it comfortable for him to sit on while bird-watching from his window. I'm so glad I came across this because I was about to give up.
This is a good place to spend a few extra dollars. You will not be dissatisfied with this purchase. I've seen cat towers in pet stores that are 1/3 the size and are of lower quality for twice the price. I didn't want anything flimsy that would break down because my cat is only 5 months old but is quite large for his age. This tower is extremely sturdy, and he resides within the confines of the small house. He rips the scratching posts apart and flies up and down this thing with ease. It takes some time to assemble, but it's incredibly simple (I'm terrible at following instructions). The hammock is a little flimsy, as other reviews have mentioned, but not to the point where it bothers me. This also comes with two extra balls, which is nice in case the others get torn apart, and I recommend it for larger cats. It's extremely tall and not overly heavy, allowing me to easily move it from room to room. Sturdy and extremely useful!.
I really wanted to like this, and our cats did - once they got used to it. our 3- 9 lb. , 1 year old When she isn't sprawled out in the hammock, kitty loves to race madly up and down the entire thing. Our calmer 16-pound calico isn't as strong as her sister and only climbs to the lower level, but she enjoys hanging out there. There are no tippy issues because it is very sturdy. br>br>And my husband, who is fortunate in being able to read instructions, put it together fairly quickly, so that was not an issue. br>br>The issue we had was that, despite its CARB certification, the thing outperformed our expectations. For a few *weeks*, I was gassed. We were unaware of it at first, but after an hour or so - it's a disaster Was it the wood that caused the problem? What about the cloth? Who knows what will happen. We couldn't drag it outside once we'd put it together because it was far too heavy, so the entire upstairs smelled like we'd just painted. It's also why I believe the cats took longer to warm up to it. br>br>However, now that the odor has faded, we really like it and think it was a good buy. If you love your cat(s), I recommend getting this, but leave all of the parts out somewhere safe for a week or longer before putting it together.
Before I even finish building the cat tree, my cat becomes interested in climbing to the top. The scratching pose, on the other hand, had a sharp edge to it. Before allowing your cat to enter, double-check all of them.
In the event that this cat- When tree first arrived at my door, I was concerned because the box appeared to be quite small, especially considering my cat's size. However, once I got this thing together, I was quite pleased with the end result; it only took me about 20 minutes to put it together, and that's only because I used the big cat-shaped piece as a base. house- To avoid construction delays, level the platform the wrong way up at first, and pay attention to where the drill holes are and how they are oriented. Aside from that, putting this thing together was a breeze, and all you need is an Allen key (which is included). Those concerned about the size and stability of the tree should rest assured that my 12 lb. Cat is at ease in any section and shows no signs of instability or wobble. I was able to sit on the second level without difficulty (I'm 6 feet tall and weigh 185 pounds), so it's pretty sturdy. The carpet is super soft, the platforms have nice cushy padding underneath them, and the color is a neutral dark grey that goes with everything. The overall size is large enough to provide plenty of climbing space for my cat and overlooks from which she can survey her domain, but not so large that it takes up half of the living room. My kitty is a big fan of the hanging ball toys. Buy it! br>br> You will not be sorry, and your feline companion will thank you. In comparison to the exorbitant Pets-R-Us prices, this is a bargain. This tree is the best deal in town at Mart/Co prices! (Those highway robbers would most likely demand $200 for this. ).
The first impression was that the product was of high quality rather than being inexpensive. There were no chemical odors, and no pieces were missing. It came with all the tools and I built it in about 30 minutes without any assistance. The manual was well-made, and the instructions and diagrams were easy to understand! It appears to be lovely. It's quite tall, and I'm 4' 11" tall, so it's about the same height as me. I'm still waiting to see if my boys use it because they're outside cats, but so far I'm enjoying it!.
It's well-made and extremely durable. The nut for attaching the rope was missing, but that didn't bother me. Because the perches are so large, even a large cat could use them. It had a slight odor when we first put it together, but I don't notice anything now. Inside, the tiny house is quite spacious, with enough room for two cats. I would strongly advise it! br>br>Recent changes: br>br> br>br>At 5 months old, my kitty is still completely enamored with it. She bounces around in the hammock, tossing the small balls around. She also scratches the sides of it on a regular basis. She's quite tall, and she probably only takes up a quarter of the platform. For a big cat, this is unquestionably ideal. Even though she jumps on and off and climbs up super fast and crazy, it's still holding up fantastically. One of the balls fell off, but there were extras. This is a far superior product to the ones available at PetSmart.
