Questions & Answers

What is the largest area's length and width? Is it just me, or do the shelves seem to be longer than the base?

It measures approximately 2 to 2 1/2 feet in length. The basket reaches all the way to the ground. This tree has a great deal of sturdiness to it. It doesn't even come close to tipping because I have two cats who play on it. The basket and the top platforms are used by both of them. It is extremely popular among them. It isn't attached to the wall in any way.

Is it big enough to hold two cats weighing 15 pounds?

Yes, it is possible. As stated in the directions, I strongly advise you to anchor it to the wall. I have two cats, one of which weighs 26 pounds and the other of which weighs 18 pounds. They love it so much that they both sleep on it at the same time.

Is it possible to disassemble it once it's been assembled? I'll be moving in my car, and disassembling it would make it much easier to fit. ?

Yes. It's only a few bolts that can be easily unscrewed if you're willing to put in the same amount of effort (approximately 1 hour). It took about the same amount of time to put it together as it did to take it apart (about 20 minutes).

What is the maximum weight capacity of the basket?

The basket has a 5-kilogram load capacity.

It was well worth the money
5/5

Wow! I don't usually write reviews, but I'm very pleased with this one. This is a high-quality cat tree that was incredibly simple to assemble. It's not wobbly at all, and it looks nice. I bought this because I already had a small cat tree for one cat and wanted to upgrade to something bigger because I was planning on adopting another kitten soon. Because of all of the features, I looked at a lot of different ones before settling on this one. My cat rarely used the small cat tree I had before, but she has been using it every day since I got this! They both love it and have used all of the areas since I adopted my kitten, and my new kitten especially enjoys the upper play area. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I've had it for four months and it's still in perfect condition!.

It was a huge hit with both of my cats right away! This condo is well-made, and my 11-year-old son and I had no trouble putting it together
5/5

For reference, we looked at Amazon's instructions and product image. There are enough places in the condo for the cats to be separated and not fight for dominance. It's high enough for them to safely look out the window over my patio fence, which they enjoy. Because of the placement of the various levels, it is simple for them to step down. Because the toys are removable, they enjoy trying to get them out as a game. To make it easier for them to reach the top, I took one of them out. The top two beds have extra padding, making them extremely comfortable. There are plenty of sisal sections for them to scratch on with their claws. Since we set it up, they've worked on it every day. It's absolutely ideal!.

It's good value for the money and what it is, but it's not up to the standard I had hoped for
4/5

EDIT- We've been at it for 9 months. Okay, I'm not going to change my mind. In terms of value, I still give it four stars. I'm still thinking of this as a budget purchase, and at this price, I'm pleased with the quality thus far. So far, there hasn't been any damage. I had to add a second strap to a different wall to keep it stable; without those two straps, the cat would easily knock it over. My cat weighed 6 pounds and was only 8 months old when I posted this. She's now over a year old and weighs around 8 pounds, so I believe she's pushing the bowl hammock's weight limit. I was concerned when I saw her in it and noticed that it was sagging, so I removed the hammock and stripped off the material, using the board as a pattern, cut out a piece of 1/4 inch aluminum to match, glued them together, recovered, and rehung it on the tree. Now, I did this more for my own comfort than because I thought it would fail. Before it broke, I mentally repaired it. The rest of the tree, on the other hand, appears to be in good condition. With the exception of the tree-covering material. It's a VERY thin material, similar to velour, as I mentioned in my first review. It does not hold up well over time. I'm constantly filling in gaps in the "traffic" zones. The "scratching" regions have been shredded. Now, this isn't exactly surprising because scratching is common in cats, but what is? ANNOYING is that it is turning into little fuzzballs that stick to everything, rather than tearing like a cloth or becoming "stringy" like a carpet. I've got little gray "lint" all over the place, and it sticks so hard that the vacuum can't get rid of it. br>br>So, what is my UPDATED advice? This is still a good value for money purchase, in my opinion. For a first purchase, I would suggest making sure your cat enjoys and uses trees. At my current rate, I expect this to last about two years before I need to replace it. However, if you want something that will last and provide years of fun for your kitty, I'd recommend investing in a more expensive version with a carpeted cover and pressed board or, better yet, solid wood construction. This is one of those times when you get exactly what you pay for. I hope this provides some insight into what to expect from potential buyers. br>br>First reviewbr>Ok, for the most part, I am satisfied with the cat tree. I put it together in about 45 minutes. It would have taken 30 minutes if I hadn't taken part of it apart to switch the round hammock to the other side; all of the parts are labeled properly, though some are faded but still easily identifiable. It's a big hit with my cat, especially the round bowl hammock. br>br>However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind that I didn't realize until it was too late. First and foremost, this is NOT made of fiberboard or pressed board; rather, it is made of compressed and resined cardboard that resembles HDF paneling in appearance and feel. It's tough, but it's a lot lighter and flimsier than I had anticipated. We'll see how it holds up in the long run. br>br>It's also worth noting that, unlike many other trees, it's not covered in a short pile carpet. Instead, it's covered in velour that looks and feels like it. It's well-glued, but there's very little padding. It's nothing more than a piece of cloth glued to a board. shirts made of a thicker fabric than this I don't think it'll last very long. I've only had the tree for a week and already one of the platforms has a small hole (about a dime in size) that is worn (not torn). It was just a slit in the material they used, and it's the spot where my cat jumps up all the time, so it's already bare. I simply glued a small piece of fleece to the appropriate location. Everything appears to be in working order again. Finally, I don't understand how this is supposed to support heavier cats. My cat weighs only 6 pounds, so I'd say she's at the top of the tree's weight limit. The round hammock would break if she gained any more weight. It's also very wobbly, despite the fact that I've secured it to the wall with the provided strap. I'm going to fix the tree in the corner of the room by anchoring it to both walls with a brace on two sides. br>br>The reason I gave this tree four stars is that, despite its flaws, it provides good value for the money. High-quality trees will set you back a lot more money. As a result, this is a good buy for a budget tree (under $100).

Not durable / fell apart on the first day
3/5

We followed the directions exactly and as soon as my cat jumped on the top part of the tower, it ripped out of the cardboard roof of the box/cave it was screwed into, screw and all, and that piece with my cat fell to the ground. I'm requesting a refund via email from the seller. My cat isn't particularly large; rather, he's a typical feline. I put it in my back storage room so that if any of the pieces fall off, it won't harm my other cats.
