Amazon Basics Multi-Level Cat Tree with Scratching Posts

Please wait until you've read my review before making a purchase. The dangling balls do not dislodge themselves. The small knob you see is made up of two plastic pieces that have been screwed together like neclace clasps. Because the cords are elastic, they pull and cause the balls to bounce, which was a lot of fun for a short while. However, our cat got the cord wrapped around her tail, and when she jumped down, it tightened, and she was hanging from the top of the tower, screaming, with the string wrapped around her tail. Instead of breaking, the elastic cord cinched. We had only set it up for 5 minutes when this happened. I quickly removed that toy, but they appear to be having a good time otherwise. I cringe at the prospect of what could happen to a tiny kitten. I couldn't find a way to contact the manufacturer, so I had an online chat with an Amazon representative, who said they would refund our money and pass along my feedback.

I received four different cat trees/towers to review from Amazon recently. This one, in my opinion, is far and away the best. I have a large Ragdoll cat that weighs 12 pounds. This thing is her absolute favorite. She sleeps for hours on the high perch and spends time in the small room as well. I haven't seen her in the hammock yet, but she spends several hours every day on this perfectly happy spot. br>br>Here's what I liked about it: The tower won't tip over even when a big cat is on it because the base is large and sturdy, the wood edges are rounded and chamfered so neither the kitty nor I will be stabbed with pointy bits, and the overall build quality is good. My cat and I are both in good spirits. Even the scratching posts made of sisal are used by her. I think you'll enjoy it.

The durability of the covering is still unknown. The weight of our cat is 16 pounds. He's a hefty fellow. I was unsure if the platforms on this cat tree would be large enough to support his weight, but they are- It arrived in a large, heavy box, at least to his satisfaction. It took me about 30 minutes to put everything together. It wasn't difficult, though I did put the two lower platforms in facing inwards rather than sticking outwards at first. It's possible that the instructions were not clear enough. But all you have to do is follow the Amazon listing's instructions and look at the photo. After that, you'll be able to do it correctly. Except for one exposed screw head on one of the platforms, the tree appears to be in good working order. It's not a functional issue, but I wasn't expecting a visible screw head on the assembled product, and I'm guessing no one else notices. It's just me because I put it together. br>br>One interesting thing about our cat is that he would leap up into his old cat tree and nearly knock it over due to his size. But, for better or worse, the design of this new tree prevents him from taking a running leap at it. He must cautiously ascend into it. He might find the condo a little cramped- He used to get into it, but he hasn't done so in a long time. The top two platforms, however, with their small sidewalls, are his favorites. He also appears to enjoy sitting on the base of the building and gazing out the window. If we weren't in a ground-floor condo, he might not find it as appealing. br>br>Another feature that we enjoy is the rope-like texture. It's made up of wrapped posts. Our old cat tree was completely covered in shag carpeting, which shed constantly as he clawed it, as cats do all the time; this new tree, on the other hand, is unlikely to shed. no shag. br>br>And that's all there is to it. The fabric covering is thin, which is less than ideal. Unexpectedly slim. Given how cats use cat trees, I'm not sure how long it'll last, but the plush covering is surprisingly thin. Above and below the rope, this is the same covering. Part of the posts are wrapped, and if the cat claws at it hard enough, it will shred. br>br>Thus far, everything has gone well. The tree's mechanical strength isn't a concern for me. It's only a cover. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: br>br>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: br>br>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: ADDIT We've had it up for a month and a half now, and we've discovered a major design flaw: Your cat can scratch the vertical posts because they are wrapped in ropy material. That's fantastic, and it's effective. However, it does not go all the way around- The thin plush fabric coating that covers the rest of the tree is applied to the top and bottom of each post for about 3 inches. This isn't an issue on the bottom of each post, but it is on the top, because our cat scratches at least the top half of each post-- not to mention the thin fabric area As a result, he's already scratched holes in the fabric and undone the top of the rope wrapping on the post he scratches the most, which is also the one that we can see. It has a shabby appearance and does not function properly as a scratching post. It should be redesigned so that the rope wrapping extends all the way to the top of the posts that are most likely to be scratched. As a result, I reduced my rating from four to three stars. As I previously stated, our cat enjoys this tree tremendously. He'll put it to the test because he's a big guy who weighs 16 pounds. He never enters the cat condo section, but he enjoys roosting in the second-floor roosting area. The highest platform, and, on rare occasions, the highest one. Apart from using the tall posts on the "ground floor" as scratching posts, the rest is mostly used as a means of getting up to those platforms. If he were smaller, he might be able to use the condo portion. The problem with the tree's tallest posts' coverings would be a minor fix. If they did that, I'd give it another four stars.

We chose this cat tree after a long search and much deliberation, and we are thrilled with it! The assembly took less than 30 minutes, and we couldn't get our cat off one of the levels once we showed him what it was for. He climbed all over it, exploring all of the levels and playing with the ball at the top before finally settling in the cubby level, where he laid and slept and watched us for hours; he's overjoyed with his new tree, and we're overjoyed with the product and how quickly it arrived. It's a must-have for your furry kids!.

We took a chance on this cat tree because I don't like ordering big items without seeing them first. It has, without a doubt, exceeded our expectations, and we are delighted with it. Our cats, on the other hand, are enamored with it. br>It's something I'd strongly recommend. It's strong and secure, and it's suitable for cats of any size.

The package was large, but the description stated so. It's sturdy enough for our cat to jump and pounce from level to level, and it was super EASY and quick to put together. That is something she enjoys. This was well worth the money!.

The Cadillac of cat furniture is this cat tree. It's well-made and has a great design. Large, smooth surfaces are covered in a soft but durable material. The "penthouse" level, as well as the sisal-wrapped scratching posts, are particularly appealing to Liz. With the diagrams provided, it was incredibly simple to put together, and it was nice to have an optional tether included to secure it to a nearby wall if needed. Liz is very pleased with her new website address.

With a new dog on the way, I bought this cat tree for my cats, and they love it. Other than that, there isn't much to say about this cat tree; it's sturdy, and unlike a lot of other cat trees, I'm not afraid that it will fall over; my cats are 13 and 16 pounds, and it's perfectly secure. The cats loved it and used it as a cat tree, scratching on the posts and having their own "sections. " Overall, I think this is a great cat tree to go with.
