My cat is fully grown so I bought this item to replace her. Buying it was one of the first things we ever bought for a cat. It took her some time and she only was able to climb on it recently since she is still a kitten. I found, however, that none of the pieces were labeled when I received them. As a result, I had to read the instructions, measure the poles and use common sense to figure out where they should fit. It took me a while to put this together because I thought there was a missing piece because according to the instructions, I should have 4 posts to attach to the bottom board. I had 4, but one was different. There was a slight slope in the second board when I attached it. I had 5 posts that were the same size. Two had the bolt sticking out of the end when I used the headless bolts with threads on both ends on one of the posts that should have a bolt on it, everything worked out and I did not have any more extra There's a tree in my backyard that my cat likes.
