In general, these ice melters / salts are far better than what is currently available. In comparison to my other products, I have found this to be superior. Despite the fact that it dissolves on surfaces completely (leaving less for pets and the family to track in) I would appreciate a lower price (as it is likely baked into the PRIME shipping). Though the product is second to none in terms of being pet friendly and family safe. Redmond, you did a great job!.

While I live in the Pacific Northwest, we don't get a lot of ice or snow, but my new house faces north, and since the former owners tried to address this issue with rubber steps, there is now a growing reputation for slick steps. Since we started spreading this upon one or two of the stairs every other evening, we haven't experienced any problems. The fact that it is natural and pet-safe, and that it is easy to notice where I have already set it down, is a major plus for me. The next time I buy, I will definitely purchase.

Upon walking only on our sidewalks treated with this product, our pup stopped walking and tried to hold all of his paws off the ground, just like when we have walked through regular salt from neighbors in the past. Is this really eco-friendly and pet friendly? This brand, however, does not have the approval of my dog.
