In what dimensions does the inside of the box measure?

The dimensions are 36 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 20 inches high. There will be about 1/8 inch of extra space for the inner dimensions because the box walls are about 1/8" thick.

The walls and bottom of the building are thin

This storage bin will be used on the back of my travel trailer as a storage bin. As the bin's walls are so thin, I had to add a piece of solid polyethylene sheet on top of the metal frame to prevent any flex or bounce as the bin is bolted to the metal frame. A second set of bolts had to be added through the bin's bottom and into the polyethylene so that the sidewalls of the bin would not flex. Although I realize I'm not using the bin for its original intended purpose, I go ahead and use it anyway. We have just reviewed the bin to warn anyone thinking of using it in an environment where it will be subjected to constant wind that it will need Likewise, it is possible to break the lock with a screwdriver at the place where the lock is located. There is no guarantee that the waste bin will be secure if you lock it.

These salt bins are great

I love them. This is a very tough one. They are pretty much indestructible, in my opinion. The only caveat is Nonetheless, a 5 star rating is appropriate since this isn't the fault of SaltDogg Green ice melt is hygroscobic, as it has been cooled in a hydrochloric environment. This makes water cling to them. you are using this for ice melt, make sure that you add a drainage hole to the bottom of the SaltDogg. Otherwise, you may find wet ice melt when you open it up. If you are filling it with rock salt, you will have no troubles.
