It takes about 7 minutes to install 228 using Everseal Surebond SB 190 adhesive. If you don't want to use the gasket, you can attach them with adhesive. We installed 228 on the front and back of our house. This is an 8 tube set ( at least I think so). The adhesive was installed about two months ago, and we have not yet gone through a winter, so I can't comment on how well the adhesive holds up. This book appealed to me because of its very positive reviews. It is important to note that adhesive takes between 20 and 30 minutes to dry The temperature needs to be above 50 F during the curing period for the glue to be fully cured. Here are some tips I hope will help.
The answer is I have no My plan is to space them out about two or three feet apart on rows of two or three feet apart.
However, installing them could not be simpler. Use exterior grade silicone to link the guard to the roof, do not use nails larger than a pinky nail, and use screws of the right diameter.

In addition to their price, I purchased them due to their appearance. When I received them, I noticed a small fissure surrounding one or both of the In these holes, the screws will be inserted so that the guard can be attached When I first noticed the fissures, I thought that they were simply lines in the plastic that formed during the molding process. However, upon closer inspection, I found they were actually fissures against the plastic. It is here that the problem lies. Since the fissure is larger than the seal around the screw, it is reasonable to believe that water will seep through them and down to the roof. The guard will seal the roof, trapping water that will allow water to penetrate down the screw and into the building, and accelerate roof corrosion. Inspection is very important, but don't buy unless you can be sure. A bad batch of 100 may have simply thrown me off, but a bad 100 has turned me off to further consideration. There are no drill holes or molded inserts into the hole, so the holes are punched rather than drilled or molded in. This resulted in a crack in the plastic.
This is what I installed on my metal roof last summer using adhesive and they prevented all the avalanches I had last year. This year, I have yet to go up on my roof and check them out. If any of them break, I will adjust my review.
It was easy to install and instead of using silicone to seal the gap, we used sealant tape like we would on skylights.
I thought it was a big deal, but it did not have any screws or bases. 200 screws will now have to be purchased.
I found it to be quite effective.
They appear to work great and seem not to be an eyesore.
A metal roof was ordered with ice and snow dams. I was surprised by the speed with which it arrived. I appreciate your great service and the quality product you provide.
