" NOTE: NOT INTENDED FOR OUTDOOR USE is clearly stated on the packaging. (Really? For the love of God, it's a snowblower! Some people do not have nice garages, if they have one at all. ) I'd hoped for a cover that could be used outside, where I keep it on the edge of my patio, to protect the snowblower from heavy snow/ice that might fall through the patio roof. There will be no such luck. In order for the cover to fit, the snowblower must be folded up. I wanted my EGO snowblower to be ready to use in the cold so that my arthritic hands wouldn't have to fiddle with it. Finally, I was dissatisfied with the fabric. Since 2003, I've had the same cover on my Weber gas grill. This EGO cover isn't going to last three years, in my opinion. Unless you keep it in your house, of course. I'm going to return it and replace it with a Weber grill cover.
It's a perfect fit for the Ego Snowblower. It's not a bag, and it doesn't have a bottom. It's essentially a dust cover with a logo on it. When the lawn mower is not in use or being stored until next season, it is ideal for keeping dust and debris from settling on it or in the battery compartment. It's a more appealing option than covering the unit with an old towel, which was my previous method. Yes, it may have a smell, but I don't notice it because it's kept in the shed rather than the house. The odor dissipates after a day of being opened. It is not intended for use outside. br>br> I'm not sure why someone would spend so much money on Ego and then leave it outside with no or little protection. To keep it safe from rain and sunlight, it should be kept in a shed or garage. The longer plastic is exposed to the sun, the worse it gets. The electrical contacts will be ruined if there is a buildup of water/humidity from splashing rain.
This cover does not fit the 24" EGO Power 24" snow blower, which is my fault for not reading the entire description. It's for a snowblower with a 21-inch diameter. I'll need to come back. It's a lovely cover, and I wish it would fit the book.
I don't have a storage shed or garage, but some moron created an indoor-only cover - It doesn't appear to be very practical.
I could, but I didn't have time to design a pattern or find fabric. . . fortunately, I came across this ready-to-wear option. created a cover for It also helped me save a lot of time and money.
The fabric is thick and durable. Generous cut that fits the Snow Blower well and can be taken on and off without difficulty. It's not ideal for outdoor storage, but it's ideal for garage and basement storage.
I'm not sure how long this will last because the Ego name appears to take precedence over the cover's quality.
When I am not using the snowblower, it is covered. It looks good on you.
