I live in central Kentucky, which doesn't get nearly as much snow as other parts of the country but still has cold, long winters. My in-ground pool is 25000 gallons. For the past ten years, I've had an above-ground pool that I've only used once, this past winter. The outcomes are amazing. In early March, I added another half jug with the help of a short hose and funnel. When combined with floating chlorinated water and Algarve, the result is crystal clear!

I bought this product to put in my inground pool when it was time to cover it for the winter. We never got around to closing the pool, and it stayed clear all winter with only a few chemicals. The pool quickly turned green after a few warm days in the run-up to Spring. I was looking through my supplies of chemicals when I came across this bottle. I poured it in and placed an order for more chemicals, but I was surprised and pleased to discover that this small bottle had killed all of the algae and restored the pool's blue color before any other treatments. Even though it isn't advertised as such, this little bottle is powerful and amazing; it returned my swamp to blue in 48 hours, and I will definitely keep it on hand from now on.
The water is still crystal clear after I winterized my above-ground pool and added this over a month ago.
Excellent product.
This is an outstanding product. Maintains the cleanliness of the pool. The price was well worth it.
After using this product last fall, my water was crystal clear this spring, and I plan to use it again this fall.
years of use, and it still works.
In November, I was looking for a winter pool chemical because I live in Northern California. It had to be easy to use, require no additional chemicals, and keep my pool clear for the winter. The Pooltec chemical was suggested to me by my local pool shop. I was skeptical at first because it appeared to be a regular algaecide, but the clerk assured me that it was for winter use. He advised me to simply follow the instructions and let the chemical take care of the rest. I followed the instruction and poured approximately 75% chemical in the pool. I've been checking my pool every now and then, and it hasn't turned green or yellow yet. The only drawback to this chemical is that you'll have to repeat the process in two months. This chemical, on the other hand, functions. br>br>Although I did not purchase this through Amazon, I am writing to let others know that it met my expectations.
